Oh, motherfuck.
Ya'll know how I'm getting a 360 for Christmas? And ya'll know that I'm a big fan of the MGS series? And ya'll know that I was ridiculously happy to not have a PS3 because it meant I didn't have to play MGS4, which is simultaneously amazing and crazy depressing?
Well, some prick on my FList (HE KNOWS WHO HE IS! :SHAKES FIST:) put the idea in my head that MGS4 was going to be ported to the 360, because that's kind of tradition with the MGS series.
And after some googling, guess what I found.
God, now I have to buy it, play it, and cry buckets because Kojima is never done torturing his characters apparently..

I've had both G1 and G2. Neither overheat unless you are really stupid and leave them in a really compact space with no airflow. I currently have a PS2 slim. It sits next to my TV and has about, oh, an inch and a half of room around it. It's never overheated, even when I played Jak 3 all damn day and clocked in about eight hours on the game.
Disk Read Error is a nightmarish thing to experience. That's what took my first PS2. I was very upset. But I had my first PS2 five years before I got DRE. You are far more likely to get the Three Rings of Death on your 360 than you are to ever get DRE on your PS2.
And about fragility, well... it's a game console. You put it down on your shelf and you leave it alone. I don't know wtf other people are doing with their to make 'em break, but I imagine it's more human error than anything.

The Disk Read Error I guess happens more to some people than others. Some of the main complainers in the PS2 entries of Amazon.com have had it happen almost right away on every PS2 they've bought. :( Maybe they unknowingly emit some kind of field or something.
Maybe they have problems when they try to bring it to friend's houses or take it on trips? Wait, I just realized: if the slim PS2 is as small as they say it is, I could bring it on trips and play video games in my hotel rooms for free! That'd be awesome! That is, assuming I don't break it. :p
