AUNT LUCY HAS A FABULOUS NEW ALBUM FOR YOU LOVELY PEOPLE

On a whim, because I love the three songs of theirs I have, I bought a Maximo Park album.

It is totally awesome so you all need to have it too.

You know an album is gonna be good when you haven't even played it yet and are just reading through the lyric booklet and you say aloud, "oh man, that's fucking beautiful." I'm having trouble getting past the first five songs because they are just that good and as soon as "Karaoke Plays" finishes, I'm launching back to "Girls Who Play Guitars". "Parisian Skies" and "Pride Before a Fall" also stand out a lot.

Also, "Our Velocity" is now my Doctor/Fitz song. Or maybe "Books from Boxes". Oh god, this band.

ETA: oh and "A Fortnight's Time" is RIDICULOUSLY CUTE. It's just this guy asking a girl out on a date but he's shy and hasn't dated a lot and "when it comes to girls, I'm mostly hypothetical/if I list their names, it's purely alphabetical." HEEEE. ♥
