Ms. Scribe's Biography

The Most Interesting Biography You'll Read, whether you're in the HP fandom or not. I spent approximately seven hours in this fandom and I still find this awesome.

Just finished reading the whole thing so far. It's amusing and terrifying, what people do for fandom. I understand the whole "fandom is fucking serious business thing" thing from this. Just... wow. There folk were/are crazy. Makes you very happy to not be in the HP fandom, eh?

But, really, fascinating. Obviously a ton of work went into it- accurately documenting around 5 years of fandom wars. And it's just interesting overall. And it sheds some light on where the fannish hostility came from, which is something I've always been curious about.

So.

I've just finished chapter 2. wow. I stay away from Potter fandom generally but this really is interesting. I know CassieClaire from her VSD (of course) and knew she wrote Potter fic but didn't realize all the crap that had happened to her as part of this.

Unfortunately, I am in the HP Fandom. I try to stay in the sideline and watch, so I dont always know what is going on.

I've read the first 2 chapters and this is all before my time, I was interested in other things other than the computer. But, good lord, Harry Potter is about a teenage wizard dealing with somewhat everyday things. Sex is a somewhat everyday thing. Also, why are Christian Harry Potter Fandomers (Oxymoron, no?) reading that kind of stuff, if they disapprove?

Ah, the sideline life is good.
