Eh, having lived in Ohio where Kucinich has been in politics for ever and ever...he's not that great. He has lots of ideals, which is good, but his execution of ideas...meh. He was a pretty shitacular mayor of Cleveland, so much so that they tried to recall him after like a year. And Cleveland is extremely left-winged; so it wasn't for his views, but his mismanagement of the city itself, in particular its finances.
