Do you recommend it? I'm thinking about asking for it for Christmas (Grandmum's bitching about me being indecisive about what I want) and I read the first approx, 40 pages and it's been very interesting (and, briefly, rather scary- "Look at this page, don't look away whatever you do. Now, imagine a monster behind you. Listen for the silence." Very freaky to me.). Y/N?
Well, it's funny, because I saw your post and then remembered back to your reaction to ... some comic that I don't remember the details of at the moment, and I thought, "Good lord, oL is gonna kill her."
So ... yes, I recommend it. I love it. It's one of my favorite books. Just ... with the caveat that it may haunt you a bit. I like scary stuff, and even I turned all the lights in my house on a couple times while reading it the first time.
Oh god. I know what you mean and I don't even wanna say the name of the comic because it... Yeah, the visual at the end, seeing what happened kind of... damaged my soul. Which sounds weird, but it's the only way I can describe it. If I found the TARDIS, I'd ask the Doctor to help me go back in time and make sure I never saw it.
I think I'll ask for it. Text tends to not shake me the way visual stimuli does. Thanks for the two cents. I appreciate it!
The translation of the title varies, but look up "amigara faults" and you should find it. It's a Japanese short comic.
Should you read it, please don't discuss it here. I wasn't kidding when I said how deeply it affected me. Reading it is at the top of my greatest regrets in life.

(Oh, did you hear about David Tennant stepping down as 10 in 2009?)
