Researching Florida colleges. So far, apparently every single one of them is complete crap. Greeeeat. God, I hate Florida.

Doesn't help that I'm still very unsure of what I want to do in life. My only idea is kinda stupid, probably. I'm really thinking about being a video game localizer. You know, the people who translate the game and adapt the text for a regional audience? I... I don't know. I mean, I like languages, would love to be bilingual, I think I'm a decent writer, and I've always had colossal respect for localizations that really make the game enjoyable for the target audience (anyone else remember the way Working Designs translated the Lunar series, with all that genuinely funny humor?).

I have no idea. Maybe it's a stupid thing, but... gah. I love the gaming industry. I always come back to it after forays and affairs with other hobbies. I love it for more than just playing, but for the process. Gaming has been monumentally important to my life and... The only thing is, I have no idea where to start with such a field.

Oh, and Mum and I are going to have a massive row when she gets home from work. I can tell. All around, a good day, eh?

I've been trolling around College Review for the past two or three hours. So far, a lot of Floridian colleges are crap buuuuut... :flips through notes: Miami-Dade CC is supposed to be good if you're at the Kendall campus, and the Uni of Central Florida is good for certain fields and utterly crap at everything else. Seems like everyone says the same thing about every college: beautiful campuses, crappy education. :|

Thanks for the Eckerd rec. It looks nice, but unfortunately is on the opposite side of the state from where I'll be. I've gotta find something in Broward County and the surrounding areas. Eckerd looks pretty though. :sigh:

Shame they eventually closed up shop. You know people like your company when they constantly give you shit for broken deadlines, but they still love you. :misses them, wants to replay L:EBC again now:

Also... after playing most of Mother 3... being able to do something like that seems wonderful. And I dunno, maybe it'd be a jumping board into the rest of the industry? :|
