luciazephyr: Book of the Still, the time traveler's lifeline (Default)
The day of the disaster, I was playing hookie from school and I watched the second tower fall with my grandmother. The only think my stunned mind could process is that I'd passed up the chance to see them last time I was in NYC and now I'd never get the chance to. I didn't cry until a year later on the anniversary. But I remember Grandma hitting the phone's redial button over and over to make sure my Uncle Craig wasn't in the buildings that day. He wasn't, thankfully.

I remember going to school the next day, I think, and no one was talking about it and I wanted to scream at them to realize what just happened.

And that's all I can really say on the subject.
