luciazephyr: Janelle Monae, "while your roses died I came alive" ([♪] while your roses died I came alive)
To Do List:

1. Finish MoC chapter.

2. Write Dresden Files meta, either about the erasure of consent and free will in non-mundane characters, or about Proven Guilty's copious off-the-charts sexism.

3. Do laundry.

4. Go to Whole Foods and buy 3534534 pumpkin scones.

5. Watch [personal profile] kuwdora's Tonight I'm Fucking You XMFC vid 50 times.

6. Read Changes, seeing how I have been solidly warned off Turn Coat. I asked [profile] shiplizard point blank it, given how disgusted I was with PG, should I even attempt TC, and she told me no. I trust her judgement and will skip merrily past TC.

7. Watch this video about 40 more times.

ETA: Oh, look I'm having more Friendship Moments with Harry Dresden on Twitter )

the room began to push you away- has midnight come to soon again?

Note to self: why the fuck do you not own a Maximo Park album? You are only head over heels in love with every song of theirs you've stumbled across.

QUESTION TIME: You are writing a fic with a character who is a musician. If you want him to sing a song in the story, do you go for the obscure or for something most readers would know?

Doctor Who reactions )

Ella asked me yesterday if I had to choose between love and money, what I would pick. I picked money and I'm wondering if that makes me a bad person. I'm not a fan of romantic love really and I suppose my family situation colors my choice, but. I think living in comfort and not having to constantly worry about finances would bring me more happiness and peace than a lover (and even writing that word makes me frown, it seems so trite). I'd make it easier to get though day to day. IDK, just thinking aloud.

Note to Self: Meat Loaf's "Bat Out of Hell"

ETA: Out of nowhere, my copy of "Songs of a Dying Atheist" decided to corrupt and now thinks it's only about :45 long. Anyone have a spare copy around? Which reminds me, I have a lot more music than a few months ago, I should upload them.

1. Shave slowly. This is about the sixth time you gashed open your back ankle.

2. Remember pale yellow. Might be a good paint color for the walls of the living rooms.

3. Open RtF every day and write some. Some progress is better than none even though you and one other person are the only ones who care about the story, but still, you should finish it at least.

4. Punch LJ for not giving you your damn notifs. Again.

5. Don't bitchslap people for not knowing a drabble is exactly 100 words. This is your pet peeve, no one else's.

Dear self:

1. Richard Dawkins has a new book out. Go reread The God Delusion, sigh happily, then ask for The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence For Evolution for Christmas. ♥

2. Consider writing Noah "Spoony" Antwiler a thank you letter for all the help he's given you.

Oh FFS, I have to work on my Snake mix now, but fucking Playlist Project won't load for me.

So, leaving myself a note: Nerina Pallot's "Everyone's Gone to War".
I've got a friend, he's a pure-bred killing machine
He says he's waited his whole damn life for this
I knew him well when he was seventeen
Now he's a man he'll be dead by Christmas

And so, everybody's going to war
But we don't know what we're fighting for
Don't tell me it's a worthy cause
No cause could be so worthy

For every man who wants to rule the world
There'll be a man who just wants to be free
What do we learn but what should not be learned?
Too late to find a cure for this disease

If love is a drug, I guess we're all sober
If hope is a song, I guess it's all over
How to have faith, when faith is a crime?
I don't want to die
I'f God's on our side, then God is a joker
Asleep on the job, his children fall over
Running out through the door and straight to the sky
I don't want to die

Someone do me a favor: Go here. Does the playlist load for you?

:just headdesks repeatedly: I'm putting this here because I need to remember.

Note to Self: Stay out of the RP chat after 1 AM. You fucking suck after a certain hour.

God, the self-loathing. ffffff.

Note To Self:

Next time you're gonna scratch an OS and start from scratch with a fresh install, for the love of pete, copy the driver files first. Spending ten hours trying to get them all back is the anti-fun.

Dear Self:

Rip The Lost Room, all of it. Then vid it to this.

But finish the Vittorio E vid first.

Sincerely,
You

NOTE TO SELF: "Love and Memories" by OAR is the GO-PRT theme song. Find it.

ETA: Hey.... what does OAR stand for anyway?
