(no subject)

So I have this weird idea for an original story, inspired by all the rampant sexism in gaming (plus the gaming renaissance I'm having). I'm not sure how it goes exactly, but it revolves around a pretty big, exclusive competitive gaming convention, where gamers come together to compete in FPS tourneys, various sport and racing games, PvP battles, speedrunning, etc. More than your average frag-fest, basically. And the story revolves around four or five different gamers and their interactions and ass-kicking at said con.

Each one of them are sort of extreme chariatures of stereotypical gamers. I know I want one to be an extremely superstitious FPS girl gamer, another who by day is a fun casual gamer but by night is a game-breaker and speedrunner, and a modder with a an insane amount of talent who has been offered jobs at Valve and Bethesda but likes his librarian position so much he's turned them down.

I have no idea what I'd do with such a tale, and god knows the audience for such a niche tale would be small, but... vOv I kinda wanna do it.
