I forgot John Hughes died until the tribute last night during the Oscars. It was really emotional to me. He was just as important to my childhood as he was to my mothers. It's just... hard to confront that the men and women who affect my life are really just mortals and soon their work will outlive them. I mean... Douglas Noel Adams literally made me who I am, influenced my personality and thought process so much, and he was dead before I even realized it. You know that question everyone gets asked, if you could talk to one person living or dead, who would it be? I choose Douglas, and I just want to tell him thank you and how I owe him so much.

Mum and I are renting Hurt Locker tonight or tomorrow. We were so excited when Bigelow took not only Director but Film. Fuck yeah, Academy, I knew you didn't completely suck. Granted I was rooting for Up but I am a realist.

SO PSYCH, RIGHT? I'm watching it again! Just DLing some eps that I've heard through the fannish grapevine are awesome. And HOOOOOOLY SHIIIIIT "Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing" was FUCKING BOSS OKAY. That ending scene in Lassiter's apartment was intense. Thank you, Tim O, for reminding me why I think you are too good for this show, you magnificent bastard. You and Dule, man. ♥

Also, I was reading some meta on the show and here that at Comic-con, James Roday (Shawn's actor) said something about not liking the Shawn/Lassiter vibes. Which.... made me very upset. I think because I'd always considered Shawn an Ambiguously Bisexual type of character and I really loved that. They never confirmed, but it was way more than just subtext. Knowing the actor/show producer doesn't like that undertone really just makes me mad at him. It's not like it reflects on you, Roday, FFS.

So yeah.
