Vidder Notes: So, this vid happened entirely by accident. I started out just tossing together a cute, fun, OTP-friendly vid that would pander to both the major pairings. Then, I got halfway through and looked over the WiP and discovered that there was a serious subtext in the vid. Chi told me to run with it, and I did.

So the vid became the story of Shawn, Gus, and Lassiter in a funky love triangle. Shawn's been with Gus, is comfortable with him, and loves him dearly. Then, of course, Shawn's contentment is shattered when he meets Lassiter. Lassiter's pushy, bossy, snappy, rude, and intense in ways Gus just isn't. Shawn develops a wee crush. Gus notices and is worried, but Shawn reassures him this is nothing. But still, they work together and Shawn finds himself flirting more and more with Lassiter, who flirts back in his own "I'll crush you with deathglare" way. It's a trainwreck from there. It sounds like one long romance fic. Which I am so not gonna write. Because I have will power. >.>

HUGE kudos to Chi and Voni. Chi's the one who made me do the vidfic thing and the both of them forced me to agonize over some timing gags that didn't work. Thank you, girls. You guys rock the cashbah.

This was great! You included my favorite Gus/Shawn scene when Gus takes a sip from Shawn's smoothie. The transitions were excellent and the "c'mon c'mon" bits were perfect! The vid was also great for a Lassiter/Shawn shipper as I am. You really did capture their toe stepping relationship.

Also I loved the music you picked. That song has to be in Shawn's iPod because of how bouncy it is.

Because I have will power.

And I'm sure that there are people around who are more than willing to nudge you into the writing direction. I'm one of them of course.

Hehe first, I gotta say how much I love your top banner. Serious business, indeed!

Now, onto the next bit of business! I loved your video. I wasn't sure how anyone could make a vid with the small number of episodes we've been given so far, but you did it perfectly, and it's fun to see a vid about Shawn, Lassiter and Gus!

Great job, the timings nice and the scenes fit with the lyrics!

I know! Got it off the best free layout maker ever, space_graphics. She is amazing.

And, in truth, Psych is just about the perfect fandom for vids. Well, beat-centered, fast-paced vids, anyway. I couldn't imagine doing a slow, serious vid. Psych's lead character is just a ball of motion and he does things, as do most of the other characters.

I've vidded both Numb3rs and Psych, one right after the other, and the difference is astounding. Numb3rs has a cast of characters that just doesn't move. Psych has characters that react, that emote, that have stark emotions. It's a complete dream to vid.

Oh actually I love your reply! It's nice to see what someone thinks of Psych, and comparing it with another show I watch nonetheless! You're very right about the differences. Psych is a nice change of pace compared to most of the tv dramas I watch.

If I poke around a bit, will I find more Psych vids? Or if I wait patiently, will you post more? It'd love to see what else you've got up your sleeves!

I mainly watch Numb3rs for Don. He's so boring but I followed the actor over from Northern Exposure. I actually keep my fingers crossed every episode in hope they'll give us a good action scene at the end. ;)

Lassiter songs were a pain in the ass. Shawn is easy, but I'm used to him by now. Lassiter is complex and has this... in his music, you have to look for both hate and love, both feelings very passionate because he is a passionate man. He doesn't feel emotions softly. *pets him*
