I read it a couple of days ago, enjoyed it, and couldn't decide whether or not I believed it to be a real "official" episode.

It is. It was released my Tim Minear, I believe. Someone even questioned Joss about it at a panel in... 2004? Anyway, he said it was just a first draft when they got cancelled, so it never happened.

So, yes, official.

Hey, since my email is being fucked up and is allowing me to recieve emails but not send them I figured that I might as well leave this here.

Totally understandable. I will do the following scenes if that’s okay with you:



~Intro of Amita Ramanujan, the Ambassador

PG-13-ish scene establishing the Cosmic Concubine

Dobson is funny and clumsy.

~The Ambassador Returns

points: Amita's aura-reading ability (do scene from her POV?)

~Getting guests squared away

points: think Mal's speech in show to lay down the ship's rules, reinterate Don's evil and Dobson is clumsy

~Dinner

exposition and rarity of fresh produce in `Verse

Amita helps Don secure Charlie in Infirmary

points: Charlie doesn't have a colored aura like everyone else in the `Verse (no color, just grey that blends into the colors around him), strange connection between the two

~Discussion of what to do between Terry, David, Amita, Larry, and Don

points: exposition on The Academy, Terry's decision to continue to Whitefall

~Reaver Close-call

points: establish the terror, lucky they weren't hungry, Charlie's effected by them despite distance and sedative (tosses and yells in sleep)

~Job on Whitefall

-meeting Patience, fight, finishing job

-meanwhile, Dobson gets free and tries to escape with Charlie. Cue Action!Don.

-reavers return. Cue panicked!crew and cowboy!crew.
-death of Dobson
