just idle pondering
Jun. 6th, 2006 02:06 pmThe Eleventh Doctor
played by David Hewlett
-extremely fast talker
-easily distracted by things
-often interrupts his train of thought to look at something that catches his eye
-like hugging with Nine and licking things with Ten, Eleven constantly caresses things
-extremely tactile
-more lighthearted than emo
-doubts self constantly; much less hubristic
-very much a kid in a universe-sized candy store
-occassionally just stares off at nothing (emo moments)
-easily startled
-hugs people when very pleased and spins them around a bit
-very awkward with flirting, but every once in a while surprises his companion(s) wiith subtle innuendos
-plays with sonic screwdriver when thinking
-wardrobe: long sleeved shirt, tee shirt, beat-up, dark, medium-lenght jacket with tons of pockets, baggy black jeans, occassional no-rim green/black sunglasses

I really want him as my Doctor. I really do.

Date: 2006-06-06 07:56 pm (UTC)Yeah, and I believe he's said he'd go out for the role if he wasn't, you know, the top billed actor on another scifi show.
But, hey, SGA will eventually end and DW should still be around.
I think there needs to be more Hewlett-as-the-Doctor icons.

God, not at all. He's mean, crass, bossy, brave-but-only-because-he-has-to-be, snarky, and inconsiderate. And sexy as fuck.

Date: 2006-06-13 08:57 pm (UTC)Traders was a show about a financial firm and the things that happen there (is better than it sounds, really).
Hewlett played Grant Jansky, a brilliant, eccentric derivatives trader (potential futures, essentially) who was quite the idiot savant- very brilliant at his work, but not at all wise of the world. The story goes that as a rookie, he worked for a little over three days and during that time earned enough to retire. So, yeah, seriously brilliant. They dragged him out of retirement though.
Unfortunately, many people take advantage of his childlike nature except for two people at the firm (Donald D'Arby, a timid researcher with the BEST freckles in the universe; and Jack, the main character really, a tough-guy with a heart of gold).
Also? He's paid in chocolate.
