Because [livejournal.com profile] world_president needed enlightenment.

So. Stephen Colbert. A bunch of my FList enjoys his work.

But you all don't know his show Strangers With Candy, and that? Is a crime.

So, tada! Some links! For the dual purpose of enlightening you to the love of SWC and showing you Jon/Stephen fen that Jon is not the only man in Stephen's life. Personally, I think Evie, Paul, and Jon have a timeshare on Stephen.

You love SWC and you don't know my friend [livejournal.com profile] soupytwist? That? Is a crime. :D

I am aware of her, yes, but she is sadly not a friend of mine. Though I do admit to lurking in her LJ and having fun reading it. She seems lovely.

There are people who know of Stephen and *not* of SWC? *gasps* I feel faint. It's only one of the funniest, most randomly quotable, and full of forbiden love, um, iness?, shows of all time.

And that Brokeback parody rocks. Because their "friendship" is angsty and no one understands.

I love it so much, even though it is a tiny fandom. Cause, OMG HILARITY IN THE CANON! And the fic is so thoughtful and dramatic and lovely. *twirls*

Not to mention Geoffrey, who I just... I wanna hug him, make him soup, and buy him some prismacolor pencils and such. Geoffery's wee glasses with the beaded catch = LOVE x 500.

*is so uploading a SWC icon now*

It really needs to be a much bigger fandom. Definitely.

Geoffrey is just... he loves life so much. He's happy to be walking down the hall with scissors in his mouth. And his glasses beaded catch is so old lady fab.

And Chuck's melodramatic cries... *heart*

Saw the icon. Yay! Can't have too many SWC icons.

Omg.... that beaded catch is, without a doubt, the cutest thing in the universe. *loud, high-pitched squeal*

Chuck lurves Geoffery. He's just such a fucking wimp about it, I wanna smack him.

Best part of that was Geoffrey's "He's kidding! We're not lovers. We just have sex." because 1- HILARITY and 2- omg, delivery.

"Geoffrey! I love you."

Dinello is so awesome. I have to admit that I didn't know about SWC until I started fangirling Stephen on TDS, but I went back and fixed it by downloading all things Stephen off the Internets. The 'Wigfield' audiobook is also gem!

I haven't seen the SWC movie yet. T.T I am eagerly awaiting my DVD. I wanna know what happens between them! (Do you know?)

I hear much of 'Wigfield'. Like how Amy got caught up in something and handed it to Stephen and Paul to write, so Paul pretty much moved in with Stephen and they cranked the novel out. *grin* Is the book itself good? I'm a bit of a book snob, myself. >.>

Look! My first SWC icon! Aren't the boys pretty?

The SWC movie is pretty awesome. Someone on my flist uploaded a bootleg version (cause it was unthinkable that it would be released here in Belgium), and yeah, it's good. Chuck/Geoffrey = OTP, man.

Wigfield is funny! The book could use some more editing and I don't think I would have given it a chance if StephenPaulAmy weren't involved. I actually have the audiobook, which is read by them and about 1,000 times more awesome. (I got it from [livejournal.com profile] _audiobookshare - here).

So. Pretty!

I'd be willing to DL a bootleg (as I am buying the movie without a doubt) but not one of those "taped via camera in the back of a theatre" things. No wai.

I am soooo tempted. I already grabbed America: The Book audiotape (OMG OMG JON! AND OMG STEPHEN! *ded of laff* They has phenomenal delievery!)

Yeah, the quality was pretty bad. :S:S

OMG DO IT! Between the two of them, they voice about 10 characters. It's hilarious. Stephen is the author/main reader, and he has some other great characters as well. Including Raven. Your life is not complete unless you hear him say 'lenghty ass' in his husky stripper voice. And Paul as this oh-no-totally-not-gay-theater-player. Love!

America is probably my favourite audiobook ever. Jon and Stephen forever!! I love Jon's outburst about the media, and Stephen condescending essays. Especially the one about America's Worst President (taint!).

Okay, I'm done now.

Before SWC, there was Exit 57. It was before my time, but youtube has a ton of clips-Stephen in a ridiculous half-shirt, for example. If you <3 Chuck/Geoffrey and/or Colbert/Dinello, just search for 'In the basement exit 57'. They make out. THREE TIMES! It's glorious.
P.S. ...and Paul cops a feel :D
