*watched Strangers With Candy*

The OT3 is delightfully batshit. That commentary reel has replaced the Serenity for best ever. God...

Stephen: I want a record of what she's asking for, what you're agreeing to, and what actually makes it on the DVD.

And how Paul keeps whining over little mistakes in the film and Stephen always reassures him? And Amy being... Amy.

Chuck on screen: Element number one!
Amy: So gay.

And all the childish bitching and the comradarie and just pure affection they have for each other. God, love love love LOVE!

Okay, meme time. That Letter meme, in fact. [livejournal.com profile] effetely gave me the letter A!

In no real order...
-Amy Sedaris. omg, this woman is brilliant and funny and crafty and pretty. Then she turns around and plays it up as Jerri Blank and blows my mind. LOVE LOVE!
-Anderson Cooper. Just yesterday, I sat down and read about two-thirds of his book. Oh, baby, you need hugs and maybe a superpower like flight or teleportation. Needs to keep moving, out of America for the most part, surround himself with pain and survival. So emotionally complex, I just wanna bake him cookies. And I hate cooking.
-"Amsterdam". Coldplay song. If you don't have your heartstrings pulled by that final verse... you're a robot.
-"(Age of) Aquarius". One of my theme songs, 'cause I'm an Aquarius! Whoo!
-"Art is Hard". Cursive song. GOD, angry and pissed off musicians.
-America (The Book). Once a year, I carry it into school and, in particular, read it in my history/civics class. I have yet to do it this year, though... I should put my paperclips on Those Certain Pages and show...
-Mrs. and Mr. Altis. Mrs. Altis is my fucking awesome EnglishCommunication Arts III teacher. She lets me get away with murder because I'm, ya know, the BEST student she has. *preens* Mr. Altis is my slightly-insane History teacher. Not Chuck Noblet-crazy, no, but very smart and very weird.
-Atlantis. The city itself, I mean. God, I'd risk my neck and go to Pegasus just to explore it.
-Aaron Sorkin. Best intellectual writer on telly, Y/N?
-Avenue Q. "Schadenfreude"! "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist"! "The Internet is for Porn"! "You Can Be As Loud As the Hell You Want (When You're Makin' Love)"! GLEE!
-Apathetic. Very good descriptive word.
-Alphanumerical. One of the best words ever.
-Jensen Ackles. Oh, wow, yes please.
-Douglas Noel Adams. The man who influenced my sense of humor and way of looking at the world most. RIP, DNA.
-Agnostism. Because I am a 'devout' agnostic.
-Atheism. Because, 90% of the time, they make more sense than the religious folk.

And, because it's going around again, the "Name and post pictures of ten people you so would" meme (which turned into Folk Luce Admires, really):

1. Jensen Ackles- just gorgeous in every way. I could stare at him for embarrassingly long amounts of time. And I would him in the Impala.

2. Nathan Fillion- talent and humor and insightful. Joss mentioned how he asked to have Mr. Universe's death reshot so he could have Mal reach out and touch Universe. Because he knew Mal would. That sort of thought going into your work is very attractive to me.

3. Jon Stewart- excellent on his show, but earned my eternal love when he got Crossfire cancelled with his pleas for some responsibility in the news media. Wow, baby. *claps*

4. Dr. James Wilson- emotionally fucked up, but I couldn't resist the urge to try and fix. And if I couldn't, he must be good in bed to have so many girlfriends.

5. Nate Corrdry- the reason I watch Studio 60. Oh, how I adore and love.

6. Stephen Colbert- the most inspiring person I can think of. He stood fifteen feet away from the President and ripped him, the administration, and the media to shreds. My fucking hero.

7. Anderson Cooper- 'cause the silver hair, blue eyes, wanderlust, dorkiness, and just everything.

8. Keith Olbermann- again, with the insane bravery. He's got guts, not like Stephen's, but he makes up for it by being loud and demanding and critical like the media should be.

9. Summer Glau- god, she grew up lovely. Not only that, but she's graceful and has mad talent, acting better with no experience than some of the most seasoned actors.

10. the OT3- I'm in love with their hive mind and the way they are insanely close and sweet to each other and how the boys smile at Amy and how Stephen and Paul act sososoghey and... god, I love them.

I was thinking along the exact same lines concerning Andy Cooper a couple of days ago. We all think that a good cuppa and a cookie, some place we can keep our loved ones emotionally stable can fix thing, and looking at him I have the urge to believe it's true, but he admits what a lotta people don't.

Wanderlust can't be killed, and he described it like no other person could. Wow, Anderson.

First off, you calling him 'Andy Cooper' made me picture him in a longcoat and a fedora, all noir and B&W and god, it's like the man is a fucking noir, what is with that?!

Oh, I know I can't fix him. But I worry about him, especially 'cause I was writing RPS bits when Yoko Kanno's "Gotta knock a little harder" came on and I kinda panicked, all zomgz, what if he finally wants to rejoin the normal world but finds he can't because he's been closed off too long? ANDY! *wail* and so on. He fascinates me.

Oh god, yes. I read up to the Katrina chapter of his book before I had to leave and... oh, how some of the passages still stick with me... the shark analogy, the "spend a few hours on a plane and you end up in another world", and the time he landed in that first famine (god, I forget where) and it suddenly hit him that he's totally alone and way out of his depths-

God, I need that book. I want to finish it right now. *wail*

And don't forget that Anderson survived being the host of The Mole and still became a serious and respected journalist.

And not only that, he's completely good humored about it. As he is about his Mum's book, the grey hair thing, and how he was so proud of winning Jeopordy, he wanted to put it on his business cards for a while.

*hugs him*

I watched Amy on Conan and now I really want some Candy Glass. And her book. And the Movie. And... you get the point.

That's a perfect list, how could that be more perfect?
