So Keith's Worst Person in the World today is a jackass who wanted to protest a Muslim temple being built near his land. The Muslims kindly asked him to remove his grazing cattle from his land. In response, Jackass started running pig races to piss off their religious sensibilities. Keith quickly points out the Muslims don't hate pigs- they just don't eat them. "Please, sir, if you're going to be a bigot, please be an informed bigot." In hindsight, this is not important.

OOH, A SPECIAL COMMENT. Over new Iraq strategy! *listens*

Fuck me, Keith is livid. He's pass angry this time. And rightly so.

We're getting a troop surge. But not using them train Iraqis. You've gotta be kidding me.

"President Bush, you do not own this country." Keith talking directly to the President, more angry than I've ever seen him...

I'm kinda crying now, but the way Keith signed off, I don't think I'm alone in that.

ETA: What does Scarborough confirm right after Keith? That the reports are right and the surge-without-training will occur. Jesus Christ.

ETA2: According to Joe, Bush only has the support of 12 of his 49 senators. Again, according to Joe, those are worse than Nixon's numbers.

I did indeed, thankyou :) It was absoloutely stunning, i've never seen him quite that angry, his sign off was hilarious though because he just spat it out.

I wish I could be that eloquent whilst angry.

His sign-off is what made me start crying. He sounded so broken and upset, I wanted to go find him and cradle him to by breast, pet his hair, and tell him it'd be okay. *wibbles*

Phew. He was practically vibrating, he was so angry. I wonder when he wrote this?

I also found a lot of the remarks made about the late President Ford ironic, considering the source. Lots of paeans to his decency, his honesty, his concern for the nation. How far we have fallen.

I'm thinking the second he got word of the BBC report. I've read a lot of interviews with him and he's descibed it that he knows when he's writing a Special Comment when he literally cannot get the words on paper fast enough. He just sits and writes as fast as he can, then cleans it up later.

God knows. Days like yesterday make me wish I didn't get into politics. It's the ignorance is bliss thing- I'd have been a lot happier not knowing.
