My thoughts on It.
Jan. 10th, 2007 09:18 pmBush dragged Iran and Syria into it. I was actually with him until he said that.
No. Just no.
I love Obama right now for being so adamant for opposing the surge. I'm pissed at Tony Snow for saying that even if Congress wanted to stop it, the President can do as he wishes. Um, WTF.
The speech itself was alternately making me nod along and making me scream. This is not going to work.
*frets*

ETA: Anderson says we've spent 357 billion dollars on the Iraq war. Jesus fucking Christ. 6 million teachers, 700 elementary schools per state, free gasoline for a year for all Americans. *sigh*

357b is nothing since every other damn country in the world is in debt.

Date: 2007-01-11 03:50 am (UTC)They could impeach his ass. And Cheney's. I'd like to say 'President Pelosi'.
Um... so because everyone else is in debt, we should keep wasting money and lives? WTF?

Date: 2007-01-11 04:45 am (UTC)And impeaching doesnt do anything. All it does is hold a charge, it doesn't kick them out of office. All they would do is have a court. About what? Starting a War? He didn't start it, the Terrorists did back in the 1990s when they bombed federal buildings of ours in friendly territory. It just took two buildings coming down to smack America into realizing it.
It's not wasting money or lives. You're giving the Iraqi's a chance at something they could only dream about. To live without fear. Of course you still have the insurgeons, but I know for a fact that people are grateful we came there and freed them.

Date: 2007-01-11 05:04 am (UTC)If the terrorists started it, we'd have been in Iran and not Iraq. Slight typo there. And personally, I'd take him down for illegal wire tapping, war crimes, and destroying the writ of Habeas Corpus.
It is wasting lives and money of our people. If you say Syria or Afghanistan or Iran, I'm with you, but Iraq? Iraq does not affect the US. We've destabilized the government because we side-stepped the UN and decided we were above the rest of the world and took it onto ourselves to kill our children to police countries

If I hadn't been so tired I might have been more outraged. Instead I was just kinda drained and sad.
