Okay, Operation: Rip The 10th Kingdom By Myself is a huge failure. Sorry, folks- I am not willing to waste 15.6 GB of my C drive on just the first of the three DVDs.

So, if I can't get it some other way, the vid ain't happening. Which sucks cause I have two days of nothing to do (I'm off on Monday) and I could have knocked a vid out in that amount of time.

If you watch the series and make notes about what clips you want to use, can't you just rip particular scenes? A half hour episode of anime in .avi format is usually under 200 MB, so I'm pretty sure that even a half hour's worth of ripped footage will be less, too. (And the song's probably a lot shorter than that, right?)

The series is about seven hours long or something and the way I want to do the vid requires a lot more footage than you'd figure. I want a lot of rapid-cuts for the finale. Plus, I generally do follow notes and outlines at first, but... I have yet to use more than a third of my vid notes. I have a very insane/organic vid style. *shrugs* But, yeah, for a not-crazy person, your plan would work.

Unfortunately, I'm crazy. *woe*
