WRITER'S MEME: Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of the top five favorite fics you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same.
You might have noticed that's only four (or maybe you didn't, whatev). Reason: I... honestly don't like that many of my own fics? I look back and wish I could re-write a bunch of things most of the time. The ones listed above are about the only ones I don't feel that way about.

PS: I have a playlist in Songbird labelled "K/A Mix". Yay/nay?
- PSYCH: Varying Degrees of Con-Artistry (Or: Six things no one knew about Shawn Spencer, and one thing he didn't know about himself)
My answer to all the comedy fics I saw in the fandom. I have a love of angst, apparently, and this sucker ain't happy. Also, I loved the retconning and all the backstory. Trying to build Shawn Spencer from the ground up was much more fun than it should have been, considering how dark that backstory ended up being. - PRT: Five People Who Never Crashed the Pundit Round Table [f-locked]
My first real PRT fic. I still like it, though I look back and see all the rough edges on it. - N3: Law of Conservation
I think this might be the best thing I ever wrote... Either this or the next one. I killed Charlie in this, but loved writing Larry's grief and the progression from denial to a twisted acceptance. This may be the darkest thing I ever wrote as well. There is no happy here, really, because of the nature of what Charlie became: unchanging, caught in suspension. - PRT: Good Omens, Americana [f-locked]
I do consider this my second best work. It's one of the few fics I can look over and come away thinking, "that was pretty good". The boys made me so happy. Demon!Keith's inability to do true evil and Angel!Anderson's dark, reckless nature- they have volumes of history in my head. For me, they're the most compelling charcters to write. I often wish I wrote more because I love them so dearly.

Date: 2007-05-22 02:45 am (UTC)That Numb3rs fic is also one of my favourites. You write wonderful angst, m'darling.
(I also, of course, have rather a bias towards the Americana fic, but you must have known that. *eg*)
