I pity any human being that does not have Ani DiFranco's Carnegie Hall live album. She does to a guitar what Ben Folds does to a piano (I've heard it indelicately described thus: "if anyone could figure out how to rape a piano, it'd be Ben Folds") and even when she is speaking normally, it sounds like singing. I have never heard someone speak with that kind of cadence. It's beautiful.
