I just realized that in the last two months, I've only read, at the very most, five fics. I remember, back in m SGA days, when two fics a day was more normal. God, this is weird...

Hey, I need help with an assigment in Desktop Publishing. The idea is to design a restaurant menu with Appetizers, Sandwiches, Main Course, Dinner Specials, Drinks, and Desserts.

But since I'm a total dork, I'm over-complicating it and doing a themed menu wherein all the items relate to rock music.

Desserts - The Beatles
+Abbey Rocky Road - Marshmallows, chocolate chunks, almonds mixed into soft-serve chocolate ice cream.
+Sun King Parfait - A tall glass of lemon yogurt layered with granola, fresh fruit, and a sweet orange syrup.
+Yellow Submarine Sundae - The biggest banana split you've ever seen.
+The White Cake - A slice of cheesecake adorned with bittersweet white icing.
+The Sgt. Pepper Float - A Dr. Pepper float with vanilla ice cream. Served blended on request.

Drinks - Pink Floyd
+Milkshakes Any Color You Like - Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, caramel, or banana.
+Wish You Were Beer - Seven brands of beer, tap or draft. [flakygoddess's fault]
+The Flaming Man - (one of those really cool drinks that the bartender sets on fire, I dunno. help?)
+The Crazy Diamond - A glass of (clear drink used in mixed drinks, help?) with your choice of rum, triple sec, vodka, or gin.
+Goodbye Blue Sky - [flakygoddess's idea again, no idea on the ingredients, help?]

Appetizers - Queen
+The Bohemian Rhapsody - Create your own magnum opus, pick three appetizers for this mixed dish.
+Mister Fahrenheit's Spicy Wings - They'll make a supersonic man out of you! [I take blame for the title, but the tagline is flakygoddess's fault again.]

So, that's what I have. I still need at least four more Appetizers, all the Dinner Specials, Main Courses, and Sandwiches. Mum suggested Led Zepplin for the Sandwiches so I could make a Stairway to Heaven, a ricidulously tall sammich.

I'd love help picking names for items, and I really, really need aid on the three drinks as I know nothing at all about booze. Comment with drink recipes if you have any ideas?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Especially since I lose at classic rock. *woe* Oh, and NO ELVIS. I'm sorry, but I really hate Elvis with a fiery passion, see: losing.

Hee, I love this idea. Unfortunately I'm creatively for the suck, so I have little to add that can be of help. I just wanted to say that you menu made me smile.

ALSO. You are the first American I've 'met' who types Mum and not Mom. (For the longest time I thought you were a Brit. Then I thought you were Australian. )

Interlude In Cantalope - Melon skewers

You Don't Fool Me Meatballs - Vegitarian meatballs

There's actually a drink called Blue Sky. There's a bunch of way to prepare it. This one is the shortest.
1 oz vodka
1 dash Blue Curacao liqueur
2 1/2 oz Sprite® soda

Maybe for the Crazy Diamond use
2 oz gin
juice of 1/2 lemons
1 tsp powdered sugar
chilled Champagne

Shake gin, juice of lemon, and powdered sugar with ice and strain into a highball glass over two ice cubes. Fill with chilled champagne, stir, and serve.

It's called a Diamond Fizz.

Because the only that that I can think of that's clear and used in mixed drinks would be like... Sprite or seltzer... I can't think of any clear syrups or anything.

For The Flaming Man... how about a Backdraft. I read about some more complicated way to do it, but

1 oz 151 proof rum
1 oz amaretto almond liqueur

Add the rum and amaretto to a wine glass, and ignite the liquid. Cover the wine glass with the palm of your hand. Lift your hand off of the rim just a little on one side. Suck out the fumes, without exhaling take the shot and then exhale.


And I like your Mum's idea about Led Zepplin. Maybe The Kinks and The Rolling Stones for the the dinner specials, main courses?
