It really bugs me that Fred Thompson keeps going, "I'm aware of that, yes." It's not just liberal propaganda- he actually is lazy.

If I ever had to say I "like" a Republican candidate, I like Huckabee. The things he says are less crazy than the others. I hate his social issues with a great fiery passion though. :listens for a minute: Anyone else think he sounds like a Ayn Rand book? :grossed out face:

And I think McCain and Romney may be cutting a deal behind the scenes. I got the same feeling with Edwards and Obama when Keith was talking to Edwards on Friday. There's something going on...

Now, onto the Democrats...

Um, less crazy? Comparing abortion to the Holocaust and safe-sex education to enabling drunk driving and domestic violence is less crazy?

I also forgot "gay marriage threatens our very civilization". Here's the link (http://www.gaynewswatch.com/Page.cfm?PageID=22&SID=3941) on that little gem.

:points: Oi. And I know he's wacko. We profiled him in class. He's batshit. I just mean that in this debate, he made the most sense.

But you can't separate the two - if you like his views on fiscal reform (for example), in application, they're going to go through his filter about people and be applied accordingly.

Unfortunately, that's the trouble with debates - John Q. Public gets to see neat little sound bytes and forgets that Candidate A has a ton of crazy views that the questions didn't address.

I don't like any of his views. I like that he plays bass guitar. That's it. And you don't need to tell me about how sound bytes ruin things. I've been watching this crap since the campaigns started.

I'm not trying to be confrontational, least of all with you, but do you really think I don't know these things? D:

Well, there's a difference between "I like that he plays guitar" and what seemed like selective picking of what he says.

I have no way of knowing what you know or don't know, and I see supposedly knowledgeable people forget the facts all the time and get swept up in hype, etc. Hell, see any FNFF OT for example - or the last two presidential elections.

So, anyway, I apologize for thinking you were siding with the devil, as it were. Anytime I think a politician is getting a pass on being inhuman, I see red.
