  • The second I tuned in, Rachel slapped down Uncle Pat and Tweety. And, yeah, sorry MSNBC, but I was pissed about your coverage of Clinton's crying too. Even you, KO. I expect better from you.

  • I hate Keith's tie, but he still looks pretty tonight. WTF is with that?

  • Ooooh, I look at Joey Scars and seethe. :points at Joey: I'm watching you, boy. Don't you dare say a word about Huckabee.

  • Keith seems to be leading more in this than he did in the Iowa coverage. I wonder if that's just me reading too far into things or if the Matthews backlash was heard at MSNBC.

  • Do I.. hear beeping in the background at MSNBC? :strains eyes: What the hell?

  • Chris Matthews and Tom Brokaw- seperated at birth? Tom looks like what Tweety will in a few years.

  • On the race itself: how is Hillary winning? All the polls have pointed towards Obamarama rocking NH. :boggled: Not like... a slight advantage. A big one. And now it's really close.

  • Keith ain't the best at extemporizing. And you know what I wanna see? McCain vs. Huckabee. Mainly because I have a personal vendetta against Romney.

  • So, Romney is practising insanity? "Doing the same thing repeatedly, expecting different results," with his buying more and more ads. 'Cause obviously that tactic isn't working this election.

  • I hate to say this, but good point, Joey: If Romney's shot down, Rudy can rise up and take his place. He's been conspicuously absent, so he's gotta be preparing something...

  • David Gregory: "You had Tom DeLay on earlier tonight."
Me: "WHAT? :throws a pillow at the screen: You guys had better had him on solely for Keith to beat his ass."

  • ♥♥ RACHEL ♥♥

  • Why does Uncle Pat constantly yell? (omg, rachel speaking) And I think McCain could be easily destroyed by his batshit quotes if Dems got the spine to do the ads.

  • Have I mentioned recently that love Rachel? And that she's a slamming hottie? Because I do and she is.

...

7:50 PM - Mum just changed the channel to Food Network, saying we'll go back after Alton's over. I am understandably distraught. Hey, folks, if Rachel shows up and does some more awesome things.... someone tell me? Please? Please?

  • Hi, Huckabee. Nice job crashing and burning. But you kinda win for mentioning Elvis's birthday.

  • Also, Huckabee's doing that thing where his sentences don't make a huge amount of sense.

  • Keith leans away from Chris when they speak. I just noticed.

  • What the hell are the McCain supporters chanting? What is back?

  • :falls asleep halfway through McCain's speech: GOPers parroting the usual war rhetoric makes me sleepy.

  • I long to hear Keith cut in right now. God, long speech is looooong.

  • OMG, JOEY AND KEITH! I MISSED YOUR BITCHING.
Joey: :whinging noises about McCain's long-ass speech:
Keith: Joe, I don't think you can boo the candidate right now, he did win.

  • Was washing dishes. My only observations from the last ten minutes: Keith is kind hot when he leans and smiles like he did. Every time I look up at the screen, the separation between Hillary and Barack has changed again. Joey leads table discussions very well.

  • During the commercial: Turned on FOX Noise. Oh my god. It's like going from a disco party to a fucking funeral. What the shit, I thought FNC was overloaded with flash and glam. It's so jarring... So, yeah, not complaining about FNC's bias as much as they are taking something EXTREMELY EXCITING and making it like a bingo game. :woe:

  • Tweety just noticed the beeping. We're not crazy! :D :D :D Also, Tweety is making zero sense as he talks to Keith...

  • Mum: Wow, Matthews is being a bitch to Keith today.

  • Tweety is breaking out the sex things and OMG RACHEL! HI RACHEL!

  • HAHAHA, RACHEL FUCKING CALLED CHRIS OUT! YOU FUCKING ROCK! I LOVE YOU.

  • OH SNAP, KO: "And Chris, I'm gonna have to interrupt you, even though you influence American politics."

  • BTW, you can't get on Talking Points Memo now. Rachel broke the site. :D

  • "Two contests down, forty-eight states to go!" You tell them, baby. I still love you best.

  • Keith has watched Desperate Housewives. I think that deserves to be said again: Keith has watched Desperate Housewives.

  • I think Keith just likes saying "Dartmouth".

  • Uh... MSNBC? Don't call it. Two percent difference and only 66% reporting? If Obama eases up, you guys are going to look like fucking morons.

  • Obama has a beautiful grin. And, yes, I'll admit it- he's a damn good speaker.

Bedtime for Lucy! For the record, I'm genuinely happy for Clinton. There is no candidate out of the big three I'm not rooting for. But Edwards rocks the cashbah.

I'm semi- paying attention because I have lots of homework to get done, but my procrastination is pulling me towards the TV.

Anyways, yeah, it's awesome from what I'm receiving into my brain.

I'm stalking this journal entry because there is nothing else to do on the internets.

And I think it will be McCain v. Huckabee. And Huckabee can't beat McCain. So the Repubs are just going to have to hold their collective nose and give the nomination to McCain.

McCain could beat Clinton or Edwards, but I think if you put fresh-faced oratorically-gifted Obama next to old and sometimes cranky McCain, Obama wins.

Hubby and I were just saying we think that Mormons, who generally vote Republican, might say "Eff you" and stay home in retaliation for the Romney kick in the teeth. This religion thing is completely stupid, but I almost feel bad for Romney having sucked up to the religious right and then being told, "Nope, sorry, wrong religion. Not Christian enough. Kthxbai."

Are you sure? Huck would have the Evangelicals' support and the GOP doesn't like either of them...

:clutches her Edwards dollie with big eyes: But it will be Edwards-Obama. :in denial:

I'd feel bad for him too but his religion speech stung me so badly, I'm fucking glad he got slighted. Oh, Romney, you're not accepted by the Christians, are you? Huh?

Join the fucking club, bitch.

I really hate Romney.

Huckabee is too populist, i.e. anti-corporations and for the little people. It comes down to the money Repubs vs. the religious Repubs, and the money Repubs really run the party.

And I did say almost feel sorry.

PS, where is Elizabeth? I last heard her before New Year's on Rachel's show podcast. Haven't seen her in a while now.

The religious Repubs will vote for anyone Republican who sounds holy enough, who quotes Jeebus and prays a lot and says God Bless America. To quote our news boyfriend reading from David Kuo's Tempting Faith: "Just get me an EFFING faith-based thing."

Rachel rocks, she's just awsome. I think I liked her at the table last week better than on the split screen tonight. (not in content of what she's saying I just liked that format better). And this has been bugging me, has keith always had that little spot on his forehead or is that new (or just different lighting?)

Agreed. But I like her tonight more because... >.> Keith is talking to her more and they are cute.

Keith's had that spot for a while now. Just.... try not to stare at it. I know it's distracting. I wanna go up to him and put concealer on it. :twitch:
