Jumping onto the proverbial bandwagon.
Sep. 27th, 2004 10:28 pmIt was time Dr. Lucia Zephyr Tanaka jumped onto the bandwagon.
But who is left for this bored author to claim? A two for one deal; Jack O'Neill and Teal'c.
God help me.
Jack has a TON of stuff. About an hour after I called in saying I'd take them off the fandom's hands, this full-sized black SVU drove up and they started moving a shite-load of things in. Jack invited himself in and began poking around my place. Called it small. Grumbled about wanting to be back home.
Then Teal'c showed up. They did some overly complicated handshake I couldn't keep up with and unloaded Teal'c's stuff. He's got much less stuff, and it's mostly decorative. He's got some damn nice styling sense. Totally Jaffa-chic, yo.
Then came up an important subject I hadn't thought of before jumping into this; bedding. Only three bedrooms, all of which are taken. One couch too. So Teal'c and I got to chatting about it. He said he doesn't need a bed, instead he'll be content to roll out his joga mat-ish rug things on my floor (it has a large space since I re-placed everything last week) and sleep in a zen-position. Sounds good to me. Hope he doesn't mind the light from my 14 year-old laptop used to write fanfics.
Jack got all pissy, deciding against the sofa (apprently, he dislikes the idea of cats sleeping on his stomach) and put extra pillows on my bed. Crap. If it was one of the SG geeks, I wouldn't complain but... ah well. I signed up for this.
That resolved, Jack's sitting on my couch, drinking my Grandmother's beer. Lord, I hope she doesn't notice the five beers that are missing. >.< Teal'c downloading games onto my computer and playing my PS2 while it loads. I almost lost that too. Jack wanted to hook up his TV (a huge bloody screened flat screen I sent back to his place. I don't have the room for it.) and tried to tossed my gaming systems. Teal'c saw them and actually smiled! Spent the next hour showing him my games. He kicked my ass at all of them, but I whupped him at SSX3. No one can beat me at that game.
So anyway, I'll let you guys know how things go and if Jack stops trying to play his bloody Simpsons DVDs on my DVD player. He's still deathglaring me about taking them away, but Teal'c seems pleased.
What a day in the life of a fandom h0r.
Heh. I have social skillz! Booyah, Summer!

Date: 2004-09-27 08:48 pm (UTC)I hope you adjust well iwth Jack and Teal'c under the same roof with you. Too bad Jack is trying to make the adjustment a little difficult. But you still love him, eh? *g* Let him watch his Simpsons every now and then if he starts being a good boy.
Oh, and who has Shep?

Date: 2004-09-27 08:54 pm (UTC)She should make a Comm for those who are SGA h0rz and keep fandom characters...
You wouldn't be able to pry Rodney away from Knee-chan. *has tried*
Maybe. *hates the Simpsons* But Teal'c really nice. A little paranoid though. I told him how I get teased and bugged at school for being a slightly-bi, Democratic geek and he wants to accompany me now. O.O I doubt my teachers would like that much.
My room has a ton of candles lit in it now. ^.^ Smells like various calming herbs and flowers. Jack hates it though. ;_; I hope he settles in soon.

Date: 2004-09-27 09:00 pm (UTC)Yes, I gathered that from her posts. I just have to live with the fact that I can't have Rodney. *pouts*
Hopefully, those jerkwads will think twice before messin with you. The teachers will adjust. Who doesn't like Teal'c?

Date: 2004-09-27 09:11 pm (UTC)I like arguing with him though. He seems to like me too. ^.^ Maybe I impressed him a bit with knowing what a white hole was.
A white hole is the supposed opposite of a black hole: instead of pulling in energy, it expels it endlessly. Like videotaping a black hole and playing it backwards. Only thing is, at some point, logically, the white hole must reach a limit, making in collaspe (or expand, depending on who you ask) into a star. But if THAT is also correct, the white hole must have been around since the beginning of time. Or a black hole becomes yet something else eventually and that's what a white hole starts out as. Have I confused you yet?
I hope so. Having a large, scary black d00d as a bodyguard may help. I'll ask my teachers about it. ^.^ No one dislikes Teal'c. He's da man.

Wait...Jack not your type? ::hopeful::
Date: 2004-09-27 10:03 pm (UTC)Heck, I'd encourage the snarking.
(Especially if it's third or later season Jack. The grey hair. My god, who knew I had this kink? But I've been drooling over him every since the grey hair appeared. Mmmmm. Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.)

Date: 2004-09-27 11:00 pm (UTC)And because he was being all whiney and annoying, I lent Shep to Bekkah, because she was brave enough to take him, and Jonas was sick of his shit, and cause ya know I wub teh Bek too and junk.
Jonas will never under any circumstances be shared, cause I'm just a darned selfish biotch when it comes to him.
okies...so welcome to teh madness... you will have to come and play in our nightly chatroom sessions... they're quite weird, but oodles of funness. Heh. ::skitters off to her own journal::
