HOLY FUCK, EVERYONE, IT FINALLY HAPPENED!

Tucker's been cancelled!

...

I feel really bad for all the crap I've said about him. This... is not cool.

Pumpkin, he's not an evil Republican- he's just a conservative. He's like Joey Scarborough- sure, I don't agree with him, but he's halfway intelligent and is above baseless attacks upon liberals.

He's Joey Scars, but not as Totally Awesome. In fact, Tucker is like some dorky chess club kid in high school who you so want to mess with if you weren't certain that doing so would incur the wrath of his really rich father.

The only good that will come out of this is if Rachel gets a show out of it. And that's not likely since she seems to be very happy at Air America.

Right after I read the TVNewser articles, I found this on one of my feeds:

http://www.bilerico.com/2008/03/they_fired_tucker_carlson.php (And then the links that were given from that article).

I'm just going to stay indifferent about this because I don't care/not worth my time.

That guy is a fucking liar.

If you're made over the "beating up fags" thing, let me tell you that Tucker's been strung up as a homophobe over that remark for a while now and I'm sick of it. It had nothing to do with gay people- it had to do with being accosted in a bathroom. He said he got felt up in a bathroom once and he hit the guy for it. There is nothing wrong with that. It had nothing to do with the guy being gay.

Sorry if that came across as snappy. I've heard this being used against Tucker too many times though and it bugs me.

The thing that bothered me was that he went back with a friend just for the intention of beating the guy up for what he did (unless he was going their with a "friend" to something else -snark-). A simple report to the proper authorities would have been far more respectable and mature.

High schoolers are rarely mature. That doesn't make him a gay-hater.

I assumed that's why you were concerned with the link....?

I dislike violence that doesn't make sense. I'm big fan of morals and common sense, so when I read something that is opposite of those I get worried.

Well, I need to keep that inside my head if I want to be a teacher. Thanks to female teachers across the country, male teachers are looking like saints.

Oh bother, I don't have my Tucker icon anymore.

I got a sad face when I heard about this. I was just praising Tucker the other day for his haircut, which made him look more sensible with his big boy tie and dark suit. He may have some crazy and just plain wrong ideas, to which I shake my head, smile sheepishly and say, "Oh, Tucker..." but I can't help but like him. :-(

Remember when he had Rachel Maddow on his show? Those were the only times I watched. He got pwned pretty much every single time. I liked him for being a good sport.

He'll land on his feet. :)

I heard rumors that Rachel may get her very own show to replace Tucker, though. As bad as it seems now, it could be a good thing in the long run.

(Also? Tucker always seemed more like a blog type of boy than a TV boy to me. Maybe he can try that.)
