I didn't get to see it, what happened?

It was understated and wonderful and damning.

I mean... you gotta see it, once it's online (which it will be in less than an hour, either on the Countdown site or on Crooks and Liars).

It's better when he's not yelling. I think he can be taken more seriously by non-fans, you know?

I do. I think the bitchy HuffPo-lead backlash from last go-round reached him and he went for the quiet disappointment this time.

BTW, I'm so pissed at the HuffPo. You know the whole "KO hates Katie Couric!" thing that was going down? Apparently HuffPo's Rachel Scklar started it, then her column got reported AS NEWS on HuffPo (so the slams showed up twice on the Media page) and their only other source was Jossip.

I just.... I loved the HuffPo a year ago. Now, more and more, I wanna punch them for all the bogus headlines (Dems don't need help, the real stories are crazy enough as is), the moronic promotions of their "comedy" site (there should not be links to "funny" parodies bumping off major news), and a flood of celebrity BS. I'm just so pissed at them.

HuffPo will publish ANYTHING. I mean, I like my news to be reality-based too, but it's the web equivalent of some morning show person asking a question by starting, "SOME say -- not me, no one I actually know, but it turned up in my e-mail this morning and I need to stretch this out to 7 minutes -- that you're a terrorist because of your middle name! How do you respond to that?"

It's like Blogging O says. We don't have any illusions that he's some perfect paragon. Call KO out when he's being ridiculous. But check your sources too. Keith was ripped quite rightly when he had Lawrence O'Donnell on that one time the day after he'd written that scathing anti-John E article. (For which I have not yet forgiven him, but I digress.) Rachel Sklar's obvious anti-O bias should be taken into account.

And the NY POST *hates* KO, so why even give them the time of day?!

Okay that was just effing amazing. I don't know if I ever heard him say the not too important thing, but WOW.

I also watched the podcast this morning, and it really was devastating. WHY ISN'T THE MEDIA PINNING MCCAIN ON FLIP-FLOPPING ON THIS DAMNED WAR? HUH? Why is the guy on CABLE the only one pointing this crap out?

PS, loved Rachel too. Love love love.

And Jon Turley, thank you for putting the Supremes' decision on Gitmo in perspective.
