I have half a Psych fanmix planned out.

I guess I'm officially back in the fandom? I've been mainlining episodes, finding the good authors, and trying to set up a scene list for vidding. Psych is a phenomenally hard fandom to vid well. There is actually too much viddable material.

I need some Psych icons. I wonder what there is laying around in way of hi-res promos...

I found four really good fics so far. The fandom has quite a bit of decent stuff, but there is also some badfic. All of these are Shawn/Lassiter, btw, because I am a creature of habit.

The Case of the Missing Cockatiel, which is probably the best fic in the fandom.

Later Days, a long fic with the most bad-ass Lassiter ever. Good casefile too.

Heaven or a Highway Out of Town, another long one that pulled one of the big fandom cliches and did it well. I think the characterizations here are particularly good.

What Happens in Freedom Stays in Freedom, which is a bit unprecedented. I didn't read it for the slash, I read it because I found it so damn funny at times. :D

\o/ Oh, good. Because Psych is pretty much the slashiest show ever. It should have a gay off with due South. The battle would be epic.

I think "Heaven or a Highway Out of Town" and "Freedom" are funny, if I recall correctly. "Later Days" isn't, but it's a great casefile fic. "Cockatiel"... well, it's not dark or funny. It's just fascinating. It's one of those "I'm gonna read this in one sitting because omg, this is great" fics to me.

If any are "super angsty", that'd maybe be "Later Days", but, dude, human trafficking is not lolarious.
