I have no idea wot the hell I'm going to do with my life. I have all these dreams that I won't be able to achieve and I never got the hang of of the whole.... not-crazy goals.

So.... yeah. This is what I think about laying in bed at 3 in the morning. It freaks me out...

Does it help if I tell you it all works out in the end?

You and [livejournal.com profile] peapods have the opposite thing to say about the subject. :amused and confused:

:)

OK, let's put it this way. The dreams you have when you are 18 may or may not come true. But between then and now, you slough off old dreams, get new ones. Maybe they're smaller. Maybe you can't even imagine what they are right now.

And to quote the Stones, "You can't always get what you want, but you just might find, you get what you need."

I hope it gets sorted sooner rather than later. I don't mind having to work and wait to figure out what I'm going to do, but Mum's constant pushing is really irritating.

So, to quote the Sisters, "It can't come quickly enough and now you spend your life waiting for the moment."

Word.

And I'm 22.

It doesn't really get easier.

Sorry to be a downer.

Welcome to the club! We have cookies and neuroses to spare.

Seriously, though-- I know how you feel. It sucks and I'm sorry and all I can offer is that I'm certain you're wrong in this instance. Even if you don't know what you're going to do now, you've got plenty of time to figure things out, and you're smart. You'll be fine.

I used to do the same thing -- I'm 26 and just went through my quarter-life crisis. I still have no idea what I'm going to do with my life, except now I know I'm just going to live.

A big WORD to everything [livejournal.com profile] polaris_starz said. My motto in life is that the universe provides and I haven't been disappointed yet. You are super smart and the whole world is out there. Whatever you decide to do -- or not decide to do -- you will be fine.
