Hi, I'm friending you! You don't know me 'cause I've never commented on your journal, but I just recently got a journal so now I'm friending awesome people and joining awesome communities.

I've been following your journal for more than a year now. Found you though the Psych slash community but continued checking your journal because of your political posts. I'd like to thank you for helping me recognize how liberal I am (lots) and for leading me to discover Rachel Maddow. Watched her show yesterday, am looking forward to much much more.

I share your pain about living in a very republican state. I'm in Alabama and, well, Alabama is so republican... I can't even think of a good metaphor. So Republican no one cares. There. No one campaigns here for the general election. It sucks. Fortunately your insights and witty critiques on McCain have helped me stand my ground in AP Gov class. It is so sweet to leave them speechless, with no counter-argument.

So yeah. That's why I'm friending you. You don't have to friend me back as I'm only going to be using my journal to post comments.
