Goddamnit, people, stop fucking talking about the Large Hadron Collider. I'm serious, that shit freaks me out and now that I know they're firing it tonight, I don't want to sleep and I just wanted to be a pundit one day, I don't want to die because scientists are assholes.

I cannot tell you how much this stuff freaks me out.

Instead you should focus on...linking me to any of the fiction you may have written? XD

Ahh yes, there we go. That is what I meant to say. Hahaha. It's sad that my brain has been shutting down at 10 pm for like 2 weeks straight

My experience? Scientists are mostly personal assholes, not professional assholes, you know? Completely lacking social skills, but pretty inundated with science skills.

Ergo, we shouldn't be worried? That is, the scientists working on this "Dooms Day Device" (sorry, had to call it that) know what they're doing but have a hard time assuring us they know what they're doing. Sounds right to me.

The probability of the LHC killing us all is low. It's only slightly more probable than your hand's atoms lining up exactly right and passing though a solid object. It's possible it could happen, but it's not going to.

Besides, when they turn it on all the protons are going to be going only one way around the loop. No collisions.

Will the fact that any collisions it causes already happen in nature comfort you at all?

Maybe you should bookmark this website (http://tinyurl.com/6hucbl).

I know I feel a little bit better every time I check it.
