Hey, anyone know how to combat medicine-induced nausea? I'm starving and want dinner, but I so have no idea if I can keep it down. I need something. Help, smart FList people?

I am a fan of the sugared ginger for upset stomachs that aren't food related.

I was just going to suggest this. Ginger is great for nausea. Tea, candy, whatever.

Dinner was a failure. I'm sitting and not eating anything for a while. D: Also, I added the outline of my NaNo to the Google Doc.

Awww, feel better!

My mother swears by weak sweet tea, and it actually does seem to help. The key is to use a lot more sugar than normal, and just touch the teabag to your hot water.

Tried that. Sweet things are making it worst. :sighs: I'm going with the whole "don't eat anything" approach right now until I feel better.

There's an accupressure point in the web between your thumb and your first finger. If you push on it with your other thumb and hold it for a while, your nausea should go away.

Worth a shot, right?

Peppermint always works to calm upset stomachs with babies, maybe try sucking on a peppermint candy? A candy cane or a mint, if you have any.

And hey, if it doesn't work, you have minty fresh breath! *smiles*

What meds are you taking? Try a couple of crackers and some ginger ale, or the BRAT (banana, rice, applesauce, toast).

Generic PMS meds to help with the cramps and headaches. And I've tried all the things I could (oh, how I long for a banana, I ♥ fruit), nothing's working so I'm just not having dinner. Can't do it.

Codiene (sp?) based, by chance? If so, I recommend taking a small meal just before you take the next pills. Sometimes a little apple juice diluted with cold water helps. At least it's not so bad coming back up, if it does. =/
