Hey, in case I got anyone into LPs, there's a new fascinating one that just started over here.

The OP hasn't told what the game is or even who he is (they are posting under the name of a game designer) and there is no intro post, just a few strange images with connecting prose, and then options for the SA goons to choose. It's very disjointed and strange, but it's turned the usually crass, childish SA folks into overly metaphorical, philosophical participants. Very interesting to watch them all psychoanalyse each update and then decide the next course of action.

I just wish the OP would reveal the game title. Probably best he doesn't tho- I'd look up spoilers in a heartbeat. I'm lame like that.

Okay so the whole thing so far looks like it's Silent Hill-ish but It doesn't look like any of the games. That doesn't mean that it's not a Silent Hill rip off.

Saaaaame. I was going to write it off, but it got Lord Moderator Slowbeef's thumbs up¹ and apparently the OP's username is a hint to what the game is, but I'm still confused.

But, yeah. Strange, unorthodox LP style. I likey. :D

1- Slowbeef has been a magnificent bastard since his promotion to moderator. Twice now he's found really shitty threads and enacted the Jack Bauer Rules, which are as follows:

1. OP must update within twenty-four hours.


2. OP must find a "bomb" Slowbeef has stashed in the LP subforum and defuse it. Bomb can be in any open thread and hints to which users have the defusing codes have to sorted through and interpreted.


3. 1 and 2 can be repeated until the end of the thread or just done once for kicks.

Failure to comply with the Jack Bauer Rules results in a perma-ban from the LP subforum.

Lemme tell you, when Slowbeef did that the first time, it was the Best Week Ever. :very fond memories:

Well the OP's name is the creator of Indigo Prophecy. {Which I have not played at all because I have heard of it's lame ending....and the fact that my PS2 has died.}

So I cannot say one way or another if it is that.

Also EVERYTHING in life should have "Jack Bauer Rules".

There's an LP of it at the archive. It's under the UK name, Fahrenheit tho. I only watched the start (very complex structure = my brain hurts) and it seemed good. But Yahtzee and others have said it goes Bugfuck Crazy towards the end, so.... yeah.

I agree. I think for that reason, Slowbeef should be President. Plus, the man plays a mean game of Metroid. Can McCain or Obama stand up to a man who didn't get lost in Meridia? I think not.
