As awesome and fun as yesterday's canvassing was is about how much today's sucked.

God, I am just so... ugh. We got sidetracked for a good half hour by a pair of McPalin supporters who went on and on about how we're blinded by the liberal media, that Obama's a socialist, that they're scared for their Second Amendment rights, that health care is not a right.... I kept trying to break up the conversation so we could leave but it didn't work. They implicitly said over and over that I was just young and ignorant, and I just...

It sucked. I can't wait until this election is over.

On the bright side, I think I convinced someone to go Obama. They were a military person and I know a lot about vets' rights, so... yay?

I was canvassing in PA over the weekend, and had similar experiences. Met some awesome people, met some people I would have cheerfully fed to a polar bear.
