I just finished MGS1! I really enjoyed it! I'd say more, but it's 2:30 and I am fucking tired. Let me just say: Liquid Snake is so fucking camp, I wonder if he's even meant to be taken seriously. Solid Snake's voice was weird at first, but I've grown to love it, aided by the fact that he's a snarky bastrd at times. Sniper Wolf was the best fucking boss in any game ever, bar none. Vulcan Raven was compensating for something with that gun. I was told that I should go for the Otacon ending if I didn't like mushy sap and I'm really glad for it because if Meryl's ending is more sappy than the one I got, omfgwtfsuddenonsetofemo. I find myself oddly liking Ocelot for some reason that probably isn't healthy. Hideo Kojima needs to make movies since his games are 75% cutscenes anyway. Aaaaaand Otacon is awesome. He is my favorite character by miles.

Best moment in the whole game: Revolver Ocelot suddenly looking directly at the camera and saying, "And don't use the autofire. I'll know," because I was actually using a turbo controller. I literally shrieked. It was awesome. WHO NEEDS THE FOURTH WALL ANYWAY?!

All in all, much ♥ to go around. :D

Speaking of the fourth wall, in the original PSX version of Metal Gear Solid, during your fight with Psycho Mantis, the game would look at the stuff on your memory cards, specifically at the MGS1 data and how many times you've saved it, but also to see if you had other Konami games on the card.

It did that in the NGC version to. "I see you like adventure games. You like Legend of Zelda, don't you?" :D

You, my friend, have chosen your words wisely. Seeing a MGS movie (made by Kojima) would scare me at first, but I'd grow to love it for the fact of it just being there. There is so much story and growth to the series that I don't think it can be ignored.

I honestly believe the only reason he's not making movies at the moment is because he doesn't know how to break the Fourth Wall in a film and he wants to be able to do that.

Did you already know about the Controller Port 2 trick before the game or did you have to frustratingly figure it out the hard way? (Did this version even have you do that?)

It was controller port 4 on this version, and that trick is an example of a video gamer version of You Should Know This Already. Every gamer knows it. :D
