  1. So I spent the entire first half of this week filling out applications and smiling and trying to make an impression. Now, I just have to wait and make callbacks.

  2. I've had [livejournal.com profile] fofomazuzu over for the last... four days? Ish? Playing MGS1. Gonna hopefully start MGS2 today. It's fun to watch someone else play. :D :D :D

  3. Haven't watched Keith or Rach in days, which is apparently just as well as they're on vacation.

  4. Seriously, I love MGS. Love love love love. Act 5 of MGS4 can go fuck itself tho. I SHOULD NOT BE CRYING SO MUCH AT A VIDEO GAME. GOD.

  5. I may do a giant "PLAY THESE PS2 GAMES" post for someone soon. I may have convinced them to join the sixth and seventh generation of gaming. Whoop whoop.

I should write fic...

ETA: HAY HAY HAY, everyone who bought/rented WALL-E, make sure you check out the special features and watch BURN-E. It may possibly be cuter than the original movie.

I'm sure you'll get some callbacks. Don't give up! :3

Act 5 of MGS4 can go fuck itself
There's large chunks of that game that could go fuck itself, truthfully, but that's just my opinion.
Agreed about the crying bit, though. I suspect that anyone who didn't at least tear up at certain points certainly have no soul.

Six months of job hunting. :le sigh: Fuck Missouri and it's skyrocketing unemployment rate.

Act 5 broke my heart into tiny pieces. Otacon just. kjhsgkjdhfkgjh. And I am one of those souls who always really liked Raiden, even in MGS2. He was dumb, yes, but sweet and it was interesting to see the game unfold from... a kind of outsider POV. And if you liked Raiden before MGS4, his Hero Moment in Act 5 was murder.

:hugs Raiden, Snake, and Otacon: Oh, mah boiz.

If #5 is about me, then you're welcome to mention me by name. :)

Also, you win. I went out and bought a used PS2, MGS3: Snake Eater and Half-Life. That, plus a memory card, a year warranty for the console (if the console breaks in any way within a year, I bring it back and they replace it) and replacement guarantees if either of the games break, and it was still cheaper than buying a new PS2 (although not by much). The store didn't have Katamari Damacy, though :(. But I discovered that Portal is for the 360, so even more reason for me to ask for it for Christmas. :) Checking Amazon, though, I think I should return MGS3:SE; I paid $10 at the store and there are versions on Amazon with the booklet for half that. Plus there's this (http://www.amazon.com/Metal-Gear-Solid-Collection-Playstation-2/dp/B001383L36/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1227431614&sr=1-1) lovely option, if I really want to get into the MGS series. On the other hand, I got Half-Life (disc only, though :( ) for $8, which I guess was maybe cool? They didn't even have the box on the shelf; the guy found it when he was looking through the drawers of discs for Hitman. So please, fire away with the recommendations. Remember, though, that I'm a college student with a full load of upper-division classes. Go easy. :)

ETA: Do you, perhaps, have an IM screen name besides the GTalk one that came with your gmail account? Or is that your main IM? I'd love to talk to you instead of playing comment-tag. Plus, if you recommend games, it'd be awesome if you were around when I'm frustrated out of my mind at something you suggested I buy. :P

Must buys: Okami, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter. Will prepare a bigger list laters. Also, I hate you for having MGS3 and Half-Life. Hate hate haaaate. Not really.

Portal (and the entire Valve Orange Box) is available for the PC if your computer can handle the requirements.

I don't really use AIM anymore. Trying to avoid some folk...
