Nov. 28th, 2008 02:39 amAs usual, I leave myself notes when everyone else is asleep. Yeah, it's almost 3 AM, but I have thinky thoughts and I never remember this shit.
Fuck Snow Patrol and their new album. Too many songs are written for MGSverse. And damn my addiction to fanmixes.
So, "If There is a Rocket, Tie Me to It" would be a post-MS4 era Hal. "Take Back the City" is a theme song for Philanthropy. "Disaster Button" is probably a Snake song. Keep this in mind, self: the number one rule of fanmixes is don't reuse artists. Self, you will have to decide between these songs. Since you already have "Grey Room" for most-MGS4 Hal, "Rocket" is probably out of the running anyway.
I need to think about "Action/Adventure" long and hard. Is it really a Hal song or am I just projecting my big Andrew Bird love again? Damn Bird for being so ridiculously amazing. Easily my all-time favorite artist.
Also, what are the unwritten fannish rules for live versions vs. studio versions in mixes? I can't remember. Sleepy...
Going to bed nao.

Date: 2008-11-27 05:37 pm (UTC)That's a good point. Plus, editing out audience cheering is pretty easy with Audacity. If I do use the live version of "Bastard" or (and I'm still unsure about this) "Action/Adventure", I'll do that.
Oooooh, the Decemberists. ♥ I love the Crane Wife album so much.
