Mr. Rick Warren, it's less than 43 times we've peacefully passed power. Washington didn't get it from anyone and think of all the re-elected folks.

:irked like a really irked thing at the Invocation:

Re-elections don't count in "the count", though. Like, Washington wasn't our first AND second President.

I'm just glad Warren wasn't too much of an ass. I would have been very angry if he had been--no WAY I'm letting him harsh on my Obama!squee. XD

But if we've got 44 presidents, that means wev'e had one less transfers of power because the first one didn't do that.

Yes, I am that anal, this sort of thing does irritate me. :fails:

Yeah, you're definitely right about that one. Well, at least, it wasn't a peaceful transfer of power. Arguably it transferred from... well, George to George, but there was that whole messy Revolution in between, what with all the tea-throwing-overboard and minutemen and midnight riding and such. XD

I'm just pleased that every minute he spoke raised money for LGBT rights. <3 Schweet. *loves sticking it to The Man, especially when The Man is Rick Warren*

Rick Warren being a part of the inauguration irked me. Him giving the invocation irked me more. What he said in the invocation irked me most!
