Heeeeey there, MGS fen. So we all can agree that MGS4 was a crazy-beautiful game, right? Well, I happen to have the entire game's cutscenes downloaded on my laptop. Big .mkv files that amount to over 9 GB. I can run them in VLC and as you fellow VLC addicts know, VLC has a screencap ability. The caps are a whopping 1280x720. Here, have a sample. Hey, Hal, your jacket appears to be corduroy. Odd.

Anyway, I'm offer my services as a capper. If you want a specific shot, let me know what Act it is in and about where it is scene-wise and I'll grab it for you. I only ask that you don't make 4694 requests. Capping means slow down + pausing a lot. I'm glad to do it (or else I wouldn't have offered), but be nice, ta? Requests like, "Raiden standing on that building in Act 2" is good. Requests like, "Ocelot is awesome, gimme some of him" is not. I will make this face at you- :| :| :|

In return, let me ask this: I am dying to vid this fandom. I keep having ideas ("Cyclops Rock" villian song, "Not a Robot, But a Ghost" Hal song, "Anonanimal" for Snake) but I lack the footage to pull any of them off. If you know where I can get the fairly-good condition cutscenes of MGS:TTS, MGS2, and MGS3, I would be very grateful if you pointed me the right way.

I don't have any request (right now, at least *ponders*), but I got a hold of a torrent a while ago that has cutscenes from all 4 games. I'd call them about medium quality, but they're the best I've found so far. (With the obvious exception of the HD MGS4 cutscenes *drool*)

As for cutscenes, besides torrents, the only places I've ever found them has been various commercial game sites (gamespot et al) and... well, Youtube. Wish I could be more help :/

I'm not sure if this would be considered "fairly-good" quality (640 x 480), but this guy http://www.veoh.com/userVideos.html?username=mxdirector has most of the cutscenes for the games. They're probably the best quality of those games I've seen on the web.

I was wondering, do your videos have subtitles embedded? Because I have the cutscenes in about the same quality with subtitles, which annoys the frak out of me (like I can't cap Snake's butt without some words running across it; what kind of injustice is that?) In any case, here's something to keep you occupied: please cap Snake writhing around on the ground in the cutscene before the Crying Wolf battle. Because I'd be lying if that didn't turn me on. I RESPECT YOU FOR YOUR MIND, SNAKE.
