So I found L'arc En Ciel's "Fourth Avenue Cafe" buried in my Zune. It's a song I haven't heard in.... five years? I don't even remember how long ago it was. Oddly enough, I still remember all the words in Japanese and one passage in English:
although I know, I pretend that I don't understand
I was always drowning
and though dreaming of someone else
your profile was just too wonderful
I wonder why I remember only those lines...
-Lucy
PS: lol, checking the lyrics, that's apparently not the translation. Tres odd. Where did I even get it from? it's very firmly ingrained in my mind... Oh well.
PPS: Ellen, this is such a HSAU!Hal song.

Date: 2009-03-19 02:03 am (UTC)Animelyrics.com translates the block
Wakatte ite mo kidzukanai furi shite
Oborete ita yo, itsudemo
Dareka no koto omotteru
Yokogao demo suteki datta kara
as being
Although I know it, I pretend I don't realize about it
I've always been obsessed with her
I was thinking of somebody, because even her profile face was adorable
But what you have is a more literal translation of it.
