I've read every damn comic of Penny Arcade! in the course of 6.5 hours.

Gee, thanks Lance.

I got a thing about reading anything about games and gamers. We have so little representation, it scares me. I mean, if housework has had two channel on cable to itself for ages and more then twenty magazines on it, isn't it fair that we get our own stuff too?

If anyone even thinks G4-Tech TV, I'll shoot them.

Watch it for two hours and see what I mean. Could their news shows be more outdated? Yesterday I saw one that was "excited about the upcoming game Mario Cart Double Dash". WTFH? That's been out ages! If they can't give us current info, why bother? You think I want to hear a review of the "new" Everquest game on the PS2, or do I wanna see some footage of the next Prince of Persia game, dumbfucks? Rumors of Squenix doing an X-Box RPG? An interview with Hideo-san about MGS3? Use your brains, people! In an industry that's so fast-paced, you gotta keep up!

Granted some shows are okay. CHEAT! is always interesting, Icons is uber-l33t, and Arena is a cool deathmatch.

But we need more. How about:

-a reality show that takes gamers and gets them working on a game in a lead position?

-a show that pick one upcoming/newly released/buried treasure game and does a full disesmble of it. A Behind-the-Scenes thing.

-a new review show. Cancel Judgement Day and X-Play and take reviewing rights out of the news shows hands. Give me five gamers with diverse tastes (i.e. Platformer, RPGer, FPS fan, Sport Gamer, and an Eccentric gamer.) Have two of them review each game, the guy who specializes in it and someone who doesn't. And give me some real gamers to review it, not some figurehead or mediocre kid. Hard-core, beat-your-ass-at-UT, been-here-since-Atari l33t dude.

-an expansion of the show Cinematech, argueably to coolest there. More games, longer footage, maybe a info pop-up that gives release dates, fun facts, and such.

-a half-hour show on foreign games. As every gamer knows, we barely get a tenth of Japan's games. Rate the show PG-13 and show us what we're missing out on.

-the entire network needs an update team overhaul, keep the news top-notch. Make it live, like local news. Well, maybe not local, but world news, definately. Hey, if E! and Access Hollywood can do it, why not us?

-get rid of G4TV.com's (yes, the show's based on website happenings) hosts, if not cancelt he whole shibang. They are annoying the shit outta me and whenever I see they're badly scripted actions, I want to tear my hair out.

-a show for the hundreds of webcomics out there. Here's my plan: Get rights to about four webcomics. Make animated segments of them about 10 minutes long. Do three segments a show.

There. I'm done ranting for now. I'm off to play my Ratchet & Clank 2 game.

"I've read every damn comic of Penny Arcade! in the course of 6.5 hours.

You're very welcome, Lucia my dear ^_^

"-a reality show that takes gamers and gets them working on a game in a lead position?"

Doesn't sound real original, but no one's had the guts to do it yet. Maybe in fear of slowly ripping apart what makes a game and just, basically, insulting it? It takes many risks to air a show like that, let alone have an average gamer take charge of it. Entertaining though, yes.

"-a show that pick one upcoming/newly released/buried treasure game and does a full disesmble of it. A Behind-the-Scenes thing."

A "Behind The Music" style show? There are shows that do that, but not as in-depth as what you suggest. They get as far as an interview and thats it. But what about the functions? The playability? The hardware?

"-a new review show. Cancel Judgement Day and X-Play and take reviewing rights out of the news shows hands. I couldn't have thought of a better idea. Please, let me be one of them ^_^

"-an expansion of the show Cinematech, argueably to coolest there. More games, longer footage, maybe a info pop-up that gives release dates, fun facts, and such."

Pop-Up Video!! Oh GOD, I loved that show. Having a videogame version of it would be such a blast. Have it run a game through the first level or something and make some witty remarks about a certain designer who made this happen, how that sound was picked, etc.

"-a half-hour show on foreign games. As every gamer knows, we barely get a tenth of Japan's games. Rate the show PG-13 and show us what we're missing out on."

It's always been a mystery what brews in the streets and televisions of Japan. Though an interesting idea, if we barely get 10% of games from Japan, having a show about it probably wouldn't change the percentage. Not saying it's a bad idea, but you know... yeah.

"-the entire network needs an update team overhaul, keep the news top-notch. Make it live, like local news. Well, maybe not local, but world news, definately. Hey, if E! and Access Hollywood can do it, why not us?"

It's true that G4 is pretty horrible with it's updating news. Having a daily show that talks about deals, games, partnerships and the like would be very beneficial. If it's a slow day, have a reporter go out and do something at least.

"-a show for the hundreds of webcomics out there. Here's my plan: Get rights to about four webcomics. Make animated segments of them about 10 minutes long. Do three segments a show."

The best idea I've heard today. But the only problem is having the webcomics' creators agree with it. Penny Arcade! has been offered at least five times to make a cartoon of Gabe and Tycho, but it would be too much work for them and G4 would most likely edit a bunch of crap out of it that makes PA so unique and great. As for 8-Bit, even amatuer flash movie makers can produce a decent 8-Bit movie. So the only thing to worry about is permanent voice-casting and maybe some original plots instead of following the comic. Megatokyo will most definetly not want theirs animated. You already know how bad Fred is at keeping deadlines with his comics (although not lately, he's been doing very well). But I love the idea Lu.

Man... can I be your partner or something? I dig all your ideas, and I have more that I'd like to see happen. (loves being a Producer)
