:deep sigh:

Grandmum's lost her job. It's up to me to pay the $400 mortgage. I'm not getting enough hours to do so and have to find a second job fast.

... Just. :face in hands:

Anyone who's been in the position of being literally unsure if you are could to be able to make it another month financially, please talk to me, tell me anything you can. I'm shaking and kind of a wreck right now.

Look, I don't have any concrete answers for you, but I am in your situation with money, and my trite little piece of advice is that YOU CANNOT THINK NEGATIVELY ABOUT YOUR SITUATION. Worry all you want, pray, whatever, but if you consider yourself defeated from the start, it's like a self-fulfilling prophesy.

Also, for jobs- fill out every single application you can. Even if you don't think you'll get it, necessarily. Your chances are better if you have 3485734857 applications out there. Always go in to apply dressed nicely. Call back to check on your application (and find out who the manager is, so you can possibly talk to them). Things like that.

How about dire financial straits AND your mother is inches from death? v_v

I can't offer much except to point out that panic isn't going to help much. Life sucks once you realize that safety net you believed you had growing up has been taken away, but if my mother's struggle has taught me anything, it's that humans fight like a bitch when their integrity of life is threatened.

Lean on every door until you find one that opens. It's not timesaver, as strategies go, but sometimes it's the only one you have.

I've been dealing with it a lot over the past few months. Just don't freak out. Take a deep breath, relax, and just calmly think over everything. Don't let everything overwhelm you, and think about what it will be like once you're past all of this.
