No more squeeing over art from Aiori. Her site now only allows viewers with browsers set solely to Japanese.

I am very sad. I loved her art.... At least I have a bunch of it saved.

Is it a rule that all Japanese fanartists get the concept of "website" completely wrong? I mean, if you are doing a site, isn't it just normal for people to access it? This isn't the first time I see this happening to sites like this...

Seriously, if you want no one to see your work, why put it online in the first place?

I found away around it by setting my language tools differently on a different browser. I usually use Firefox, but I have IE and Google Chrome set for Japanese which it lets me in.
I could just send upload her stuff if/whenever she posts new stuff for you.

I'm pretty sure you already know about her J Tegaki, right? I think I remember you talking about it once.

Anywho, new stuff from her website and a few FO'd Tegaki entries here;

Are we talking browsers set to Japanese, or does the site only recognize Japanese ISPs?

I can understand being worried about theft, but that note is just silly. :/

That's definitely sucky, and on the one hand I agree that if you're going to post it for some audiences, why not allow all? But on the other hand, I know Japanese doujin/fan-artists have a lot of problems with people copying/using their stuff without permission and I can understand how difficult and stressful it must be for them to keep an eye on that if it's all taking place in a language they don't understand...

I can sort of understand that too, but, if you want to protect your stuff, why not just put a password system or something like that, where you need to ask the person for it, so then you can have permission to enter and all.

I mean, I think this could make 'tracking' of the people that visit your site a little bit easier. ut, I don't know nothing about it, because I have no worries about people 'stealing' my stuff, since they all suck *haha*
