My grandmother wins a life, the universe, and everything. I asked for Volume 1 of Sandman, she got me Volume 1 of Absolute Sandman, which is issues 1 to 20 in gorgeous, huge hardback with concept art and all this amazingness. I don't even know, man.

My aunt and uncle got me perfume. Um. Okay. I thought everyone knew about my adamant hatred of perfume because all of it smells like chemicals to me, but whatever.

In other news, Assassin's Creed 2 would be awesome if not for the fucking tiny text usage. I am so goddamn sick of game developers assuming I have an HD television and can read size fucking 6 font. I am not kidding when I say I've gotten totally lost at least four times in my five hours of playing just because I couldn't read the text. I mean, seriously, WHY YOU DO THIS?! WHY WHY WHY? I feel like making a list of games that use the tiny fucking text and sending all the developers vicious hate mail. PLAYING GAMES SHOULD NOT REQUIRE GETTING UP, WALKING WITHIN 5 FEET OF THE TV, AND SQUINTING.

Otherwise, the game is amazing things. I'm seriously loving it.

Also got FF7:CC, so yay? And Pratchett's Mort. And MGS:PO. Which I also played a bit of today.

SO HOW ABOUT MGS:PO'S CONTROL SCHEME FROM HELL HUH?

My god, someone tell me I'll get used to it and/or MGS:PW's is better.

I played up to talking to Paramedic and had to stop because my hands hurt. I keep trying to find a control scheme that works, but so far nothing. D8

I got used to it, mostly because I have the smallest hands ever and could operate the d-pad with my forefinger at the same time I used the analog stick with my thumb.

Honestly, I'm thinking of just getting Acid instead. I'm hoping that has a better scheme and I really want my MGS fix. Plus, yay, art style I like and weird plot (even for MGS).

I really wish I had your tiny hands. Never in a game have I felt less stealthy. 8(

I got FF7:CC and 358/2 days. I didn't ask for them, but my family knows that I just keep coming back to square despite Nomura's craziness. I should really know better by now.

IT SUCKS. IT SUCKS SO BAD THAT I KEEP HAVING TO REPLAY THE FIRST MISSION A MILLION TIMES BECAUSE I KEEP MESSING UP. I NEED ANOTHER JOYSTICK, STAT.

Srsly, yes. I am so enraged over the text thing because it always happens in games I'd otherwise adore, but this one thing make it so hard to play, let alone enjoy.

I managed to break away from Nomura's crazy, but I never played FF7, so I don't have a lot of love for him. I'll enjoy FF7:CC if it's a good standalone game.

I'm seriously wishing I was some sort of homebrew/gamemod genius, because I honestly thing I can make a better control scheme that MPO's team. It involves a lot of shoulder button use and ignoring that fucking analog stick.
