I've been sitting on Netflix for a while and not using it's heavy amount of Classic Who like I should. My problem is there is so much, I cannot decide where to start and every person I ask gives me a different answer (start with One, start with Seven, start with Four and Five, etc). Can someone just tell me "go watch this serial, it's awesome" or something?

Agreeing with th_esaurus on The Mind Robber, and I'll just throw out some of my favorites, mmkay.

The Aztecs, The War Games, Spearhead from Space, Genesis of the Daleks (SIX parter, beware), The Brain of Morbius, Castrovalva, Earthshock, and The Caves of Androzani.

I should preface this with telling you I haven't seen any Six or Seven, but I do really dig their Big Finish stuff, and I am a massive Five fan :)

And re: Old Who... Terror of the Autons is halarious and has Three and The Master snarking at each other/being adorable and it also has an alien species that we get to see again multiple times in New Who and also there is phone cord bondage. *cough* I mean. A terribly evil plot of The Master's that happens to involve sstrangling The Doctor. Yes. I'm... just saying. :D
