luciazephyr: Book of the Still, the time traveler's lifeline (Default)

Soooooo a massive amount of tags no longer work, I had to install a Greasemonkey script to get rid of the idiotic Facebook/Twitter bullshit, and many links I've been clicking today do not work. I just wanna read a fic but all I get is scary zombie goat.

The fuck is this shit, LJ.

I'm not entirely convinced this is just a "glitch"

On page 14 of the 50-page news post, a staff member sheepishly confirmed it was a glitch and they are working on it, but have no ETA.

If you click that link, do you also get the scary Frank face? :wants her fucking fic aaah:

Hmm. I hope so. The twitter/Facebook BS is bad enough, and I've had to switch all the pairings tags at [livejournal.com profile] sherlockbbc to keep people from panicking. All I know is [livejournal.com profile] sarken is like peace out on LJ.

Yes, indeed. Terrifying goat haunts my dreams, even during the day

I am hoping a lot of comms hold off on redoing their tags until the support team lets us know how long a fix is gonna take. And I don't wanna migrate to DW. It's pretty awesome, but.... I guess I could start dual-posting like a lot of people do. But I just made a pretty new layout and everything. D8

What does LJ have against me reading some Five/Turlough fic? D8

Eh, I don't have a ton of faith in the LJ staff fixing it quickly, with the "indefinite" estimate given to us, but the switch up at shbbc is probably going to be temporary. I don't want to migrate either, especially since everything is still in beta and I can't bring my buckets of icons. And I've tried it once before and found the community lacking, and that, coupled with a falling-out with a friend that I followed to DW, caused me to delete my account, and 'vinylsigns' can't currently be retrieved, so I'd have to pick a diff name :|

D: Maybe this or this can help. I need my Sherlock/John fix ;__;

I think I may set myself a google reminder... (god, LJ makes me love google. when they implemented the Buzz thing, they also put in an option to turn the fucker off without being asked. ♥) If the tag thing isn't repaired in a two weeks, I'll go to DW.

I don't suppose your fandom-fu can scourge up the "When in Rome" fic? Its one I've heard about everywhere and finally wanna read it, only for LJ to fuck it up. 8(

I'm putting it on my dumb stick note widget--I can't completely leave LJ because I'm a mod, obvs, but I'm going to have to start building a life on DW *sigh*

I've not read/have it saved, unfortunately, but at your behest, I shall use my powers for the forces of good (and slash)

What makes me sad is, especially lately, I've written so much fic and have had such lovely comments that I will essentially be abandoning... It's tres sad.

This is why you are awesometastic. 83 ALSO DID I TELL YOU I FELL IN LOVE WITH SOME OF THE BFAS? I totally should have told you since you encouraged me to try them. "Zagreus", "Caerdoria", and "Natural History of Fear" are a trifecta of ABSOLUTE WIN.

You can import all your personal LJ's posts and comments :) As long as the comments were all in your journal, you don't have to abandon them~

♥! Just from the initial digging, it seems like it was deleted from the original comm it was in, [livejournal.com profile] dw_santa. Still investigating.

NO YOU DIDN'T. God, god I told you right? THOSE ARE THREE OF MY FAVORITES.

MUST look into doing that. Yes, yes.

OIC. Thank you, you are just... I called you awesome already. You are like Paul McGann's voice: epic awesome that cannot be measured.

It's all because McGann. FFFFF god he is fucking amazing, innit he? The last five minutes of NHoF Part One is the greatest bit of acting in DW ever, holy shit. Between the BFAs and the EDAs, I'm, like, ruined for all other Doctors. They cannot compare.

And "Caerdroia" was written by Lloyd Fucking Rose. She is one of my favorite EDA authors. EEEEEEEE. ♥

Search results hit a dead end: according the the author's profile, she's locked down all her work and removed them from communities, and they are all now on Insane Journal. Access only available through friending, friending only available if A) author knows you & you're over 18, or B) a friend of hers can vouch for you :( Possibly your best chance at reading it is asking if anyone who recced it has a Word document of said story DDD: I can't even find it on Teaspoon, or AO3, or delicious.

I shudder to think anything like me can be as unaccountably awesome//stunning/lovely as Mr. McGann's voice, but I take your praise and hoard it away like the neurotic praise-hoarding thing I am :) Thaaank you <3

SHE'S AN EDA WRITER ASDFJKL; If I was not going to class today I'd be all over it, fuuuck. Why is my EDA pdf file staring at me accusingly!?

I'm going to have to relisten to NHoF--it's literally been years since I went through the original lines of the BFAs. Caerdroia is a thing of amazingness too--threeeee Doctors and you never doubt which one is which :D

.... :cries forever: Thank you for taking the effort, that is fabulous of you. I will never read Five/Turlough fic involving togas. Woe is me.

Not only is she an EDA writer, she wrote two of the absolute best EDAs: City of the Dead (sex, magic, and New Orleans, oh fuck yes) and Camera Obscura (which... may actually be too awesome for summarizing. It's one of the Sabbath arc and is phenomenal and not just because it brings the FoeYay by the bucketloads).

Just saying. As far as EDA authors I love, she is up in the top three.
