so predictable, so typical of how Yahoo fails. Del.ico.us was doing really well when Yahoo bought it out, and had a great reputation (and it still does), and so Yahoo have run it down and are now running it out because it didn't turn out to be an insta-cash-cow? They did the same thing with MusicMatch a few years back; they bought it, completely wrecked it (I tried the Yahoo update, and rapidly switched back to Musicmatch 10, which I still use), and then dissolved it into their cash cow, Rhapsody.
I've a feeling - partly because it happened to Bloglines, which was recently abandoned by ask.com (I switched over to Netvibes Wasabi before the rescue but heard about it anyway) - that someone else will take Del.ico.us off their hands on account of its vast and enthusiastic userbase, rather than it being totally nixed. We'll see, I guess. But, yeah, seriously, Yahoo do not know how to run anything because they are like magpies over stuff that isn't actually that valuable and so this is depressing but not surprising.
