Flying's never scared me. It's all about ritual for me. I just chill out and sing Andrew Bird's "Fiery Crash" on take-off. to save our lives, you've got to envision the fiery crash, but that's just a formality. why must I explain? it's just a nod to morality before you get on the plane.

God, you know what would be fun? Harry Dresden on a plane. Oh god, I might do an AUverse vignette about him having to fly with Marcone somewhere and the many reasons he hates the experience. Food for thought.

As much as it's a nifty idea, I can't see it happening - considering the extent that Harry knows to avoid ICUs and ERs, I can't see him getting on a plane without almost lethal amounts of sedation. (TV'verse Harry might have it a little easier, since he's not so immediately lethal to tech.)

My AUverse has a convienent plot device that gets around that. Originally I just needed a way for a mortal to have some sway over a wizard, but they are now rather handy handwave. 83
