Holy crap, I didn't know until now how fucking appalling the Dickwolves Controversy of Penny Arcadae was handled. That is fucking disgusting.

I'm going to removing them from my RSS feed after the next comic. JFC. Way to perpetuate rape culture, you assholes.

ikr??? It's pretty depressing, but at the end of the day, we don't need them in our personal cultures because there are so many better things to read. There's no shortage of culture that isn't massively offensive to people with trauma damage. There's plenty of stuff out there that's pretty supportive. PA et al don't deserve any of my very limited time and energy.

(And rape isn't even my problem; I am just kinda inevitably on the side of my fellow traumatised people here, and the way someone treats them is ultimately the way they're treating me.)

Honestly, as the friend and supporter of several victims of sexual abuse, either acute or chronic? The comic didn't really register, though it sure as hell wasn't funny. (Haven't been a fan of PA for years.)

The first reaction post, though, annoyed the hell out of me, both personally and as a trained PR/Journalist. But I'd deal. Especially if they backed off. Bonus points if they had linked to BARCC or something.

When they thought it was a good idea to sell "Team Rape" shirts? Yeah, that was my line.

Also, The Sunken Library commented on why sie still reads PA, especially the Blog Posts, since they occasionally have a clue and raise valid points.

I will admit, I love Tycho's blog posts and as PA!'s writer has done a lot of good. I just wish Gabe would fuck off, though obviously the art would then suck. But JFC I don't think he could've handled it worse.
