Fair to say that after all of this, I'm not going to DL things anymore. Which, by extension, means the amount of media I buy will plummet, because I wouldn't discover amazing new artists, shows, or films if not for downloading things to try out. Good job, media mafia.

I hate this. I hate this so much. I hate how Americans are attempting to dominate the entire world with American laws. I hate how this hurts people in creative industries, who will never see any of the money gained from sueing copyright infringers, because it will go straight into the pockets of the big companies. I hate how this is a human rights abuse as well as a free speech abuse.

I hate how I can't even write MGS2 fanfic any more because this is basically the bad guys's plan.

I was so happy when Americans won with that SOPA mess. I'm afraid we won't have as much luck with ACTA (yeah, I have very little faith in my representatives in the EU Parliment). The fact that this thing has been negotiated since 2009 without any public input and in complete secrecy feels almost like a personal insult. I mean, come on! We're supposed to be better than that!
