"Fund Education, Not Occupation" is one of my favorite protest signs. Oh, how I love these conventions. I bet it's gonna be a rerun of the DNC for MSNBC, with all the progressives flocking to their stage. :D I am so psyched to see Palin and McCain's speeches though.

Also, is Keith still in NYC? That's odd... I know Rachel, Dan, and Tweety are in Minnesota. I still think they are hiding him from the crazy conservatives.

I'm listening to a McCain supporter saying Christianity needs to stop being a political litmus test. I AGREE, GOOD SIR.

PS: Oh, and you know how I once bitched that the Killers second album was pants? I'm relistening to it and it's not horrible. "Sam's Town", "When You Were Young", "For Reasons Unknown", "Read My Mind", and "This River is Wild" are good songs. Even "Bones" is okay... I still find the album overly pretentious and "ooooh, lookit us channeling U2 and Springsteen, we're so speshul". But still.

Keith Olbermann was pulled from St. Paul to anchor MSNBC's storm coverage from New York, with his seat beside Chris Matthews filled by David Gregory. Capus said political considerations had nothing to do with that move; Olbermann has been sharply critical of the GOP.
-AP story

Um, okay. You don't think he can objectively report on this? I mean, this is Keith. he can be a snarky, anti-GOP son of a bitch on his show, but we all know he can shut up and anchor like anyone else. Hell, I'd argue that most of MSNBC's anchors can shut off their personal politics when they need to (even Tweety, tho he does tend to go off). I watch a lot of convention coverage and I always had that feeling.

But whatever. I'm a MSNBC girl anyway.

.......

Why the fuck is the RNC playing AC/DC?

What the ...? I mean.... it's not like this crowd can dance or rock out. The old lady swaying side to side was lolarious but... uh. wot.

Okay, Mum and I are watching Laura Bush speak and we just keep laughing.

Oh, man. You GOPers are so full of shit.

-Luce

ETA: Oh my god, Fred Thompson... Are you high?

I'm just fucking laughing, man. This is too good.

ETA2: Thompson's speech is making me understand something. I can never agree with the GOP platform because we have genuinely, diametrically opposed ideas of what America should be. Huh.

ETA3: I want to stab Joe Lieberman. I hate this fucking implication the GOP pushes on Democrats that we don't love our America. And Joe is pushing it a lot.

ETA4: DEMOCRATS LOVE AMERICA, TOO, REPUBLICANS. STOP PLAYING IT OFF LIKE WE HATE THIS COUNTRY, YOU SELF-CENTERED FUCKS.
